View Full Version : Who is the best football player in the world?

sock

Who is the best football player in the world? Before the World Cup, Henry and Ronaldinho were voted best players by public. But Now I want your opinion. Ronaldihno was only the best player because of his skill. But in the World Cup and Champions League he didn't do very much skill. Henry had a poor world cup, He is abit lazy when moving, and only shows some parts of Sharpness. You might disagree with me, up to you, but thats my opinion. Now I want you to post who you think the best player in the world is and the reason why.

Freddy Adu.

I don't rate Freddy Adu at all. He only looks good because he is playing in a league where there isn't really much talent about, hence making him look better. To be honest, he would struggle in a Premiership team.

Best player in the world - Michael Bridges :P

Nah being serious, I would say Ronaldinho when he plays to his strengths but recently he has been struggling a bit ever since the Champions League Final.

Fabio Cannavaro has being solid at the back though so he is doing well, hence Real Madrid wanting him.

Cannavaro was brilliant this world cup but week in week out i think terry is better than him.

Ronaldinho or Henry, shame neither have proved they can play at the highest level of football.

Well if we're talking about at the moment then I'd say Henry or Ronaldinho. Both players play with such pride and joy and never go down unfairly. They don't dive like most players and most importantly they play with a smile on their face. Some of the skills they do even up against other world class players are phenomenial.

It's hard really because different players do different jobs on a football pitch, so when saying who's the best in the world most of you say Ronaldinho because of his skill. However, i'm sure people like Cannavaro could do all that skill but coz their defenders they can't display it can they?
I don't really no where i'm going with this but basically i think it is very hard to say who the best player is.

For those who said Ronaldinho I disagree. he's a good player with amazing skills yeah. But he isn't exactly best, he is supposed to play in midfield most of the time, he doesn't get back and help defend or anything, to me he's quiet lazy.

Frank Lampard -

He came 2nd for player of the year 2005-2006, he has has his downsides, and his performace in the world cup was amazing. People said he played really bad, as he kept hoofing it over the bar, but at least he was reciving it and having a go. Theres nothing wrong with trying. he encourges his team and other prospering footballers to never give up.

he is truly an amazing player.

That Freddy Guy Who Were All Talking About, Has Anybody Actually Heard Of Him
Im a season ticket holder for the NY Redbulls in the MLS and have seen Freddy play tons of times. He can look good at times, but as of yet hasn't played nearly to his potential. He will probably be picked up by a European side in the near future and hopefully he will develop better there. Benny Feilhaber who plays for Hamburg is alot better than he is right now and is probably our best young prospect.

Paulo Maldini. A few years ago Celtic played Milan at Parkhead. At one stage he flicked a ball over one player's head then pinged a world-class pass on the half volley. The whole ground clapped it, twas just sheer brilliance. A legend of his generation.

Fabregas? I would have said that in the world, no. In the premier league, almost definately. A star in the making.

C Ronaldo has been off this season so far. Hopefully he'll find his form of last season.

If you've seen Ronaldinho actually play good, proper football then you're a better man than I because all he can do is tricks, and not good ones at that - famous for his butt teeth.

SURELY Pascal Cygan?!??? What a legend.

Probably Kaka imo. It's really hard to choose though, and lots of players are underrated by a lot of people, such as Juninho Pernambucano.
