Today, a boy started harrasing/bullying my friend, and I saw her coming crying up to me, and then I went to the boy and asked him why he was harrasing/bullying my friend? He said because he felt like it, and then made a Racist comment to me, so I got angry, and walked away, then he kept swearing at me, I walked of, I got one of my mates to ring him and to meet up at a nearby pub, to walk home, which then I followed till we got to the astro-turf, and ran up to him, grabbed him and I was about to headbutt him, He was all scared and like no Amit, No Amit, Don't do it, And I just headbutted him, which has left a mark on his head, he ran of, I did'nt want to fight him in school because of exclusion, When I got home I felt bad about what I did? What should I do?

yeah of course you will feel bad.
id give it a few days and see his reaction. hopefully he'll stop bullying etc.
when the time is right apologise for hurting him but make him understand that it was because he was a bully

As much as I am against violence, maybe this will let him learn from his lesson and know better in future.
If you feel bad, just apologise and say you over-reacted in that situation and it just aggravated you (you can translate that into your local jargon).
Urges
Go up to him and say "You dont what this to happen again do you? so stop bullying!"
I have reacted in a simliar way to that in a similar situation before, and I felt really sorry for them afterwards, yet I never apologised as he did deserve it, so my advice would be to, as this boy is now petrified of me and I don't want that.

You have, in effect, become what he is by doing that.

Not true Mary - Diffusion did it for a cause, the guy upset his gf. The guy upsetting her just said because he felt like it, he had no cause
I would have done the same thing in his situation
After doing someting like that i would feel sorry for them for a while, then i'd get over it and carry on with life.
If you get anymore problems with him, just do the same again

Guys beating up on girls verbally or physically is bad. But remember two wrongs never make a right.
Luckily in this case you did the right thing. You had the chance to beat up on him but you didnt, you had the chance to literally pummel him and you chose not to, even though the remarks he made to you and your friend.
You did good, you always have to draw the line for some kids.

You did nothing wrong, there are already plenty of threads on fighting, like Jack said, fights happen all the time, get over it? Even if youi don't fight often, you will have at least one fight in your life, so why feel guilty?

My dad says if anybody bullies me, I can punch them and if I get suspended or w/e he won't mind.
My cousin got bullied, he was tall and skinny looking, this boy peed him off and he smacked him in the nose and made it bleed :p He was suspended for 2 days, but nobody messes with him now.
I had a fight with a boy at the park, I automaticly put my hands around his throat lol.
But whenever I fight it leaves me shaking and my eyes water :(

If somebody starts on you in school, whats worse, a suspension and maybe a beating for fighting back, or getting ripped into for the rest of your time there because people know they can **** you around? ;) Even if you get your head smashed in, at least people know you won't stand for it ;)

I dont see anything wrong with fighting as long as there's a just cause.
I don't agree with bullying or picking on people, and i don't believe on ganging up on people. If you have a problem with someone, deal with it yourself, dont involve anybody else.
If you were lions, and you had a dissagreement, you wouldn't be broken up by an older lion.. You'd fight it out, and the stronger one would win.. It's nature
Humans are animals.. So why shouldn't we fight like them? ;o

I think what you did was justified as I hate people who hurl racist abuse at other people. I say good on you. :]
