They aren't hanging around! First of all, some legendaries! :]

The "Space-Ruling" pokemon, Parukia. S/he will be on Pokemon Pearl.

The "Time-Ruling" Pokemon, Diaruga. S/he will be on diamond. I thought Celebi was the time-ruling pokemon... Oh well.

Chierimu, the grass-type "sakura" pokemon.

I remember the days when Pokemon were simple... Pikachu, Charmander, Bulbasaur and the like! Those were the days, it used to be an obsession!
Now however, there are endless lists of the creatures; all the names the most complicated you can imagine! :D

I ain't really complaining, cos at the moment I really couldn't care! But if they want to attract a younger audience I would use less complicated names and stuff... Because younger children have problems with remembering "hothasdranakakasaur" >.>

With Pokémon pearl/diamond there will be a range of 450/451 pokémon. Mama-mia, thats alot of pokémon. xD

I've got about 350 pokemon cards, but that's including like 100 trainer cards and 100 energy ones, so that's 150 pokemon (originals, charmander etc) but about 20 of the pokemon are doubles (got them twice) so I got about 130 pokemon. :) might sell on ebay.
