Has anyone else ever heard of it/went to it? It's basically a musicfest for Christian music, which was meh. But MxPx and Relient K went so that was my motivation. Me and 2 friends camped out and worked as volunteers in Dippin' Dots so that was didn't have to pay for our tickets. In the off time of not working or not seeing bands, it was boring as http://www.wrestlingfigs.com/images/wfcensored.gif.

Me and Andy went over to Shawn's house on July 4th to stay the night so we coudl leave at 6 in the morning the next day. It was like a 6 hour drive to the Oshkosh area. We got there around 1:30 or 2 on Wednesday. Basically doing nothing all day. We had to work once or twice everyday for 2 hours at the Dippin' Dots stand at the cash register.

There were probably 10 bands we saw, one of them sounded like Simple Plan/New Found Glory on helium. Annoying.

However, seeing MxPx live was http://www.wrestlingfigs.com/images/wfcensored.gifing phenominal. It was pretty packed. And the security knew it was going to be crazy so they pushed everyone about 20 yards back and we were right in front
and they were going to walk us to the front but then the douchebags behind us started pusheding and we ended up about 5 rows from the center but during the concert we were pushed around quite a bit. They had a half-assed moshpit going, just a lot of pushing and shoving nothing serious. But the security guards were *********, about the 2nd or 3rd song in one of them built like a tree stepped in and grabbed my arm and said "Go over there, there is a free bicycle for you" (he was trying to make me leave) What ****ed me off was he thought I was the one starting ****, when all I did was get pushed into other people. I couldn't have started anything obviously because almost everyone around me was easily in their late teens/twenties and much bigger than me. I just stood there and ignored the *****y security guy. They did a lot of their older songs, and at the very end Mike said something like: "We have one more song for you guys tonight...and it's about a PUNK ROCK SHOW!" then they got into the song and everyone was uncontrollably pushing&shoving and the look on the security guards face was hiliarous. And about 1/4 of the way through the song, Mike and Tom threw their guitars and bass up probably 20 feet in the air, traded them and continued playing. That was awesome. Everyone was chanting for an encore but they weren't allowed.

Afterwards, Andy saved me and Shawn a spot in the meet and greet line, and Shawn and I sprinted back to tents to get our stuff for MxPx to sign. I had them sign my 10 Years and Running Cd and the booklet for it and my old MxPx shirt. Also, I started talking with Mike Herrera about Matt Freeman. Later on as we were passing the Meet and Greet again, some girl wanted a picture with them but the security didn't allow it, but Tom interupted the lady who forbid it and took a picture with the girl. They were all really nice great guys.

Then on Saturday we got to the Edge stage (I loved the stage because it reminded me of the wrestler lol) around 5:45 to wait for Relient K. The 2nd band that played was called House Of Heroes, they were pop punkish/powerpop. Kinda like AAR. They had never had a stage with a catwalk so they wanted to utilize it. So what they did was really cool of them, they got a kid from the crowd and had him dance on the stage for a whole song.

The next band was Superchick, a girl vocalist, she reminded me of Brody Dalle (from the Distillers) but a lot less punk. The background music sounded something like Blink 182 and Sum 41 in some songs, but she sang like a popstar. A lot of the crowd was teenage girls going balistic. However, the lead singer Trisha, was really hot. I snapped 6 pics of her.

Now onto Relient K, first of all they didn't do a Meet and Greet which bothered me. But we got there 3 bands before they played to assure good spots, and we got front row ;D But right before it started some fat girl 2 rows back put her hand on the railing and shoved her way to the front. And some like 9 yeard old kid did the same, which bothered me too. One awesome thing was that we were staning next to 2 really pretty girls about our age, I was a little behind the hotter one, so I just let me hand dangle and let myself and my hand get pushed into her butt ::) But back to the show, it was pretty decent, not as good as MxPx but still good. They opened with Be My Escape which everyone sang along to. Also the entire damn concert an annoying girl behind me knew every song and sang along and sounded like Mickey Mouse. They did mostly older songs. But when they finished, everyone chanted for an encore again, but this time, he came back out and basically said that the other band would just have to wait because they were doing another song, and then they played Who I Am Hates Who I've Been, which made me happy because that's my favorite song of theirs. One thing I noticed was that Relient K was a mostly female audience and they get VERY into the singing along.

I'm done with this report type thing.. please reply it took me a long time to type it all. I also have a disposable camera's roll of film used up and I'll post pics when I get them developed.
