''High School Musical''- Is it just me?

Is it just me, or has ''High School Musical'' become a huge Disney Hit! I saw the movie a few times, and i like it but I never thought of it as big of a deal as it seems to have become.

Here in Newfoundland, Canada I've seen so many shops selling the dvd. I didn't think much of it until I went on vacation a few weeks ago for 2 weeks. I visited:
Disney in Florida
New Jersey
New York
Montreal
and Toronto.

And in all of these different places, I've seen in the malls at least a few times ''High School Musical'' being sold in random shops(that have nothing to do with movies). After awhile it became kind of ridiculous..lol.

Now I'm not sure if this is happening in the Uk but post your opinion if you have one on the whole matter, or on the movie and how good it is! :D

I think the last song they sang together was definitely the best! Forgot to mention that..lol.. and I really like how the movie kind of has a grease feel to it!

They haven't released it yet over here, but its coming soon to the disney channel. So the adverts say.

OMG I love High School Musical. It was shown on Disney Channel here. XD HSM ROCKS. I'm obsessed with the songs, I like Breaking Free the most, I think.
