Depends on what you class as a meal - if you include drinks I have know of people paying £10,000 on a bottle of wine.

Been in Rick Steins restaurant once, that came to like £250 for 5 of us. We never had any starters or anthing like that either, just main course and drinks. Think the cheapest thing on the menu was a poached egg for starter, and that was something stupid like £17.

When i took my girlfriend to some japenese restraunt.
It was worth it though they cook the food on your table and do really cool tricks.
I got steak chicken and lobster.
Also got noodles and rice and stuff.
The meal was about $240 but it was alright because she was paying.

LOLS 'Cos she was paying' :o
$110 AUD for myself alone. Granted, it was three courses of seafood, so that's probably why. Went out to dinner with family + uncle. Bill was something like $800. I'm guessing something like $200 of that would have been alcohol >_>
