Dissapointed of your Year.9 Results ? [SATS]

Ok, i am very dissapointed with my year 9 maths sat result, i was getting
level 3 in year 6 sats, and now im still getting level 3, 3 years later and i havnt really improved, its the same for me in science i got level 4 in year 6 and im still getting level 4 this very day, im expecting better for english tho cause im good at that what did you get and whats your oppinion on this ?

I think if you got 7.99 on your exam they gave you an 8.

I know where I come from the highest level in all SAT papers taken was LV 7.

Sats don't count for much. yh they do for your skl. your gcse's are most important i think, and A levels.

Nah, you can't get an 8 on English. If your teachers thought you were capable of achieving one you used to be able to take an extension paper, but they scrapped that years ago. Even if you got full marks on all the papers it would still just be a 7.

I think it was overall achievement in class or something then. For the papers alone I think I probably just got average marks.

That's teacher assessment levels. Ypu can get an in those. I got 8 in mtahs and 7 in science and I was highest in the year for maths with 135/150 and 2nd highest fr science with 129/140 so I'm pretty pleased.

evry1 at my skl takes them a yr early. we took the 5-7 tier in maths however. i lost 9 marks in total, so gt lvl 7. for science i gt lvl 7 too. and for english i got lvl 7 with 94%, we never gt our papers back personally though, just our scores.

When i did sats i got

Maths = 4C
English same
Science same

They were very poor and i, like you was upset. However it didn't affect me i still messed around and didn't really try untill last half of the year 11. With all my affort i managed to get 11 A - C's GCSE, 6 B's, 5 C's.

Now i'm at one of the best schools in UK studying towards 5 a levels.

Just don't give up, anyone can do well, just the right attuide.

I wouldn't worry about it thats what I was like and know I'm doing the top ICT course at college not that I'm boasting or anything :)

Most people get 5s in English, well at my school a majority of people did and only a minority got 6s and 7s.
