can't cause its too dark, i had it dyed in sometime in '05 and i've been dying it brown every 3 months and its still black. the girl who works at the place where i get my hair colored said it's gonna take atleast 3-4 more times with dying it before i can get it a dark shade of brown..

You could always bleach it, but that would make it go reallly light..

And once when I did that I wanted to dye it dark again, so I put a black dye over them, only it came through the dye and make those bits of my hair go ginger:rolleyes:

OH EXPLAIN PLZ

Melting Pot Theory is the theory that with inter-racial and inter-trait breeding of the world will eventually make everyone in the world become very similar, if not identical to eachother. Same skin color, same traits, everything

How genes work is there are recesive and dominant genes. Recesive genes can only work if they are combined with another rececive gene. Dominent genes will always produce that gene, no matter what it's combined with*. There are some specifics with this, so this isnt the whole thing. When youll study genes, youll figure it out. Just as an exampe: (Just as a note, the below examples arent always true, just most likely)

Blonde is a rececive gene while brown is dominent

A blonde man + a blonde woman = blonde kid. (makes sense)
A blonde man + brown haired woman = brown haired kid

Since brown is dominant, it wins over blonde. So with all the mix-trait breeding, eventually, there will be no blondes.

*When you get down to the specifics, the examples above arent always true. Even 2 brown haired people can make a blonde kid (even though its rare). But 2 blonde people always must make a blonde kid. Weird, I know, but I studied genes this year.

I didnt get it at first, but then it clicked. Its not hard at all once you get how it works.

Yeah I do kinda get the main thing of it really. For instance Huntington's disease is a dominant gene, so if one parent has it, you will get it.

Most likely. But other diseases are rececive. The thing that confused me for a while was the carrying of diseases. Like 2 parents could be carrying a disease but not actually have it themselves, and have a child who gets it. I finally got it after like 2 weeks of review.

Yeah, my parents both have brown hair but i'm blonde. One of my brothers is also blonde, but the older one has brown hair.

I asked about it a while ago and they said that they heard somewhere that if two parents are born with blonde hair, theres a higher chance that their children will be blonde haired.

FlyingJesus

Rogue genes ftw. That's how gingers like myself are made :D

Also one way 2 brown-haired parents could have a blonde child is if they carry the recessive blonde gene also, and it comes through as it often can. Melting Pot theory is all very well, but I very much doubt it'll be over by the 200 year estimate, we've had much more than that of different coloured eyes and hair mixing without anything becoming extinct as yet.

It means that your parents both carry the blonde gene, but arent blonde themselves. There is a 1 in 4 chance that 2 blonde-trait carrying parents will make a blonde kid. So its actually against odds that only one of you got brown hair.

I dont think the melting pot theory will even near done, but it might be far enough along to make blondes extinct.

I dont understand the bit about us all in the end becoming identical?

I should really get a life. Basically, the above load of crap shows how 2 brown-haired people can have a blonde baby if they carry the recessive blonde gene, with a 1/4 chance in this scenario.

Edit: Should probably point out that the brown hair gene is dominant over the blonde hair gene, and as genes go in pairs you'd need 2 blonde hair genes to turn out blonde. Not sure about what order they all go in, but I know those two ^_^

I dont understand the bit about us all in the end becoming identical?

That part is simple. It used to be hundreds and thousands of years ago people only mated with theyre type. White people with white people, nationality with nationality. But now that travel is so easy and so many diverse people live in the same areas, different types of people mating is becoming comon. With that in mind, eventually if we all start breeding with every type of person, everyone will have the same nationality amount. Everyone will be a little bit of everything, thus everyone will look relativaly the same.

Inbreeding is the way.

In that case, everyone will have something different in comon: Theyll all be 'mentally deficiant' (happy you stupid filter?)

That's something I don't get: why is inbreeding dangerous? I'm not about to jump into bed with my sister, but I'm curious as to what actually damages an inbred child (apart from the bullying they'll endure at school when people find out his mum and dad are also his aunt and uncle).
