Just to stop anymore confusion. The body that deals with selling domains (.co.uk only) wioll only let you register a .co.uk domain name for 2 years minimum. On 1&1 UK you can buy a .co.uk for £4 for two years.

forget the .co.uk from a webdevelopers point of view a .com is better and gives more audience.
