Okay. I know a lot of basic HTML codes and some advanced codes.

My teacher told me that HTML codes are important in web designing, but I'm not too sure about that, because Dreamweaver and other webdesigning programs are quite self explanatory so not much knowledge of HTML is needed...

So is HTML important for web designing? Please post your comments thanks.

I think it is as it helps train your mind as well as make your page's code better and load faster, without as much space for error accross browsers.

well you can use dreamweaver to all that and no HTML knowledge is really needed as long as you know a lot about dreamweaver

HTML knowledge might be needed to fix or modify some errors.

because html is the base of web design and you will need it what ever you are doing because it is always used to display info.. so of course its important "/ even if you are using xml or php you need to use html to display it etc..

Pretty much the entire on HabboMeadow.com was made in Dreamweaver deisgn view. I onnly switched back to the HTML view when I needed to insert some PHP or fixing a tiny error. However that could probably have been done in the design view, although it'd be easier in the code view :]

Without html you are limited to only creating very simple basic layouts, you really need to know it if you ever plan on doing anything advanced or interactive.

There is no achievement in making a site in Dreamweaver. If you ever want a career in Web Design then HTML is a must!
