If someone cheated on me i'd be so upset, but I would like to know. Luckily in my current situation i'm cheat-free cos some people have self-control, others don't.

Another thing to add, would be this:

If your friend found out you knew, it would be a double hurt; you lied to him, kept something pretty damn harsh to yourself. You may be hiding it to help him, but ultimately, it will most likely make things worse.

Threatening/Blackmailling her ? Thats just as stupid than knowing.
Not telling him ? He'll feel betrayed you know. You should tell him as soon as. But he may think that you fancy her and want her for herself.
