Im a boy and I do.. I guess its a girly thing but my hairs thick, not curly at all, but it makes your hair easier to spike and all and it has a good effect - you should try it, girls too - spike pls.

To answer the question, I'm male, don't straighten my hair and have no need - naturally straight. The weight of it probably straightens it for me, it's proper long ^_^
