We are currently performing some essential maintenance on the game and website. This is due to the phenominal growth that we have experienced recently and we are making sure that there is always capacity for people to play even at peak times.
You will not be able to log-in to the game or to the website while we complete our upgrades.

Apologies for any inconvenience caused, everything should be back up and running within an hour at most.

Does this mean even more Worlds??? o.O

Not definaly, i think they mean they are expanding the amount of people allowed into the worlds, not making nw ones, that would take them ALOT longer than 1 hour!

new worlds are added all the time, they dont give a prewarning, they just add them THEN tell you, id have to say that its some sort of site update, not game update, so more users can browse the site.

okay, so i went to the site, and found this, is this what you ment?? they usually dont give prewarnings though, so i am rather suprised.



8th February 2005 - New St Louis worlds online

We've just finished another round of upgrades on our servers to keep up with the number of people playing RuneScape.
We've just put 9 new worlds online. 8 of them are located in St Louis which is another new location for us. We've also added another world to the UK, and moved world 42 to be a members world.

The net result of all this is:


free users have 4 more worlds
members have 5 more worlds

I was Playing thast day basicly Jagex Added a few more worlds but also increased the ammount of cappacity the main site can hold its self as well as the game worlds and servers.

i have noticed less lag on my laptop on world 1 and 15 (always packed) ne 1 else noticed less lag?
