Local shops? They're always looking usually and the pay isn't generally bad.

Why would you want to flip burgers for 4 hours? Mcdonalds is around £3.00 an hour for someone your age.

Vibe

My sister left school last year and got a job in July 2005 at a very famous hairdressers called Vidal Sasoon, they have straightners of them in Argos. Anyway, they have the salons all around the globe, UK, USA, China, Germany and Australia and alot of celebrities go into them to get their hair done considering their hair is handled with the best materials.. My sister only gets 360 pound a month!! Aint that bad! But shes only 17, when she is 19 she will be earning over 4000 pound a month so it's not all bad..

You would get minimum wage which is far lower than £3.75. I know when my brother worked there a couple years back he got paid just over £3.00, not sure if its changed now though.

Dog walking :]

I'd hate to work in Mcdonalds to be honest. I start work on 21st August when the Café in Asda opens up. :]

If you want to work in a shop, maybe write them a letter asking if there is any jobs if you can't phone them and ask, maybe ask your mates, they may have a job somewhere and they can ask about you working there too. But, i think supermarkets are the top place to try as they are usually looking for 16+ people to work there and stuff.

Just go out, walk around town & shops, see if there is any signs about jobs going.
