100 rockets hit israel today, a man threating to shoot innocent people was arrested today, you don't hear any of this on the bbc, skynews etc you only hear that israel are hitting lebanon with like 10 rockets adays etc, the news is anti-israel its just people don't realise this and I want people to realise it before its to late

Everything is one sided. In my opinion it's a chain reaction. It takes just one news source to be one sided to cause another to try to be one sided on the other end to even it out and attract more viewers.

With the little knowledge I have of this war, I've been on Israel's side. It was lebannon who lit the fuse by capturing those two Israeli soldiers, and now I've read that I think the papers want people to feel sorry for Lebanon to make Bush look a fool after what he said.

shows that people, don't realise whats going on takes a simple website to show it, i wish the news did show the trith as tbh it would make the world better

The news exists to sell, 100 people could die, but Pete from BB might stab himself by mistake, and the 100 deaths would be pushed back a few pages so Pete could be on the front page. I'd much rather read news, not hear that some tourettes guy stabbed himself. Stupid example, I know, but you get my point.

ye, the news don't care about whats happening out there its whats happening in the UK which is what they care about, they don't realise people can see this on the local news stations etc and they will never realise they need to show whats happening in the world today not jus the small uk

There was something about Kate Lawler from one of the early BB's getting drunk and licking chocolate off peoples fingers in the news yesterday, like anybody cares? Everyone gets pissed and does something a bit mad every now and again, whereas a war is a bit more important. I know there have been tensions around the Gaza Strip area for years, but as far as I know nothing this severe for a long time.

That actually is a good point. Priorities do seem very skewed in the news which often skews the viewer's perception of what is more important. The Iraq war should be making the US front page every day, but its not. Probably because people are sick of it/bored of it/hear it every day/want to get away from it. Newspapers' jobs are to print what news people want to read about, and I find it obsurd sometimes what people want to read about.

I hate this time of year, everytime I look at a newspaper theres something about BB on the frontpage. It doesn't even have to be about what's happening inside the house, it could be about one of the ex-housemates.

Haha, probably, knowing the shit the papers print these days. The media is a horrible tool, if a newspaper kicks up a fuss about something, such as terrorism, everybody gets scared. Terrorism in the UK now is no worse, infact it's better, than the last 30 years, but people seem more scared.

the media need to wise up, alot of them are anti-israel and always will be due to who they are run by i think if people read this thread and realise duhhhh bush is right, maybe it will help the future

In the US, you hear about Israel hiting Lebanon, and vice versa.

I think if you watch the news enough you'll pretty much notice whats really going on. I have a fair idea and I think its all pathetic, too many people base there facts on religion and don't realise that how much its destroying themselves and people around them.

Trash religion, its worthless and it provokes all wars in some way "/

DaveTaylor

they just reported about 60 dead or something, they haven't reported israel got bombed last night

beth

that's fair enough right, but we do live in Britain you can't expect a british media source to keep posting another countrys news constantly. if you are that interested there are websites allover the net that do international news.

Trash religion, its worthless and it provokes all wars in some way "/It's easy to say that, but what about the people who don't use religion as a tool to provoke wars? What about people who turn to religion to help them through tough times? Some people need faith ;)
