Fletchers and rangers are treated to a huge expansion to crossbows today. Use your Fletching (http://kbase.runescape.com/lang/en/aff/runescape/viewcategory.ws?cat_id=790), Smithing (http://kbase.runescape.com/lang/en/aff/runescape/viewcategory.ws?cat_id=785) and Crafting (http://kbase.runescape.com/lang/en/aff/runescape/viewcategory.ws?cat_id=779) skills to make yourself up to seven new crossbows (http://kbase.runescape.com/lang/en/aff/runescape/viewarticle.ws?article_id=2737) and even more bolts (http://kbase.runescape.com/lang/en/aff/runescape/viewarticle.ws?article_id=1958). Tip your metal bolts with gems and use your magical abilities to enchant them for some pretty spectacular effects (http://kbase.runescape.com/lang/en/aff/runescape/viewarticle.ws?article_id=2142) for combat against both monsters and other players.
You can also smith yourself a grappling hook to make getting around that little bit easier - with a rope attached you can scale walls, cross rivers and climb cliffs (http://kbase.runescape.com/lang/en/aff/runescape/viewarticle.ws?article_id=1919) if you have the agility and strength to do so.
