Which? I didnt include VB because I cant get it so which should I use??

im an invision person myslef. nice welll rounded forum, plus i prefer the look and style of it over other slike vb and phpbb

I prefer the look of Phpbb but.. its too hard to personalise which is where Invision is better. Also I have just found a new one called Simple Machines! Looks quite useful..

habbox is Vb which is ultimately the best but dosent come cheap :)

yea i instlled myslef a test copy of it after i found it in frnasico. Its deffinly a nice forum, but the admin panle is very cluttered and hard to use.

Found it and delted it .. I thought like Invision the focus was off the forum boards and all about the extra stuff :s

If I wasn't able to afford vBulletin I'd make my own. I hate phpBB, its to basic, and Invision has become a imitation of vBulletin.

But if you had to use one of those, I'd suggest Invision.

actaly ipb 2.0 is more exspnive and far outstrips vb in alot of ways, even 1.3 can hold its own agaist version 3 of vb. vb isnt realy that nicer forum system imho.

I'd say vBulletin has to be the best, but as you cant afford it.. invision

Its easy to use but lacks certain small features in vB like able to set up different av sizes for different masks and and to set what group can change there member title ect.
Shame vB dosnt do a free version...

I like v bulletin
and then i like invison, (iam quite good on invision forums, as i got use to them and figurued out sum stuff)
and then php (php is kind of basic and boring and doesnt have much stuff to do on it)

On that, ipb does have the abilty to resize aviatrs, wich as far as i can tell isnt a feture u get with vb.
Plus vb has no real moding community, unlike invison, as with ipb you can get a hack or mod for more aless anything .

I dont get why everyone likes vBulletin more then Invision.
I believe that Invision is much easier to skin, there are more resource sites, and the overall board is just better!

I would use vBullentin but you don't have the money (neither do I :() But Invision is great otherwise!

Welll its fully skinable, play around with the html templates and you can make it looks how ever you want, Its alot of exsgrtion that its templates are hard to work with :D
