This is a story I started writing a few months ago but never got to finish. Lately I haven't got any inspiration for stories >;[
He sat in the middle of the half demolished building on the stone floor. Shaking with fright and also shaking with cold. His brown, ruffled hair covered his eyes. His arms cradled his knees. Silence. Unexpectedly sounds flared to life, echoing through the dome-shaped building which might have been a theatre once. The sounds were sharp, high-pitched cries accompanied by loud unusual noises. It sounded like a very large magnificent bird flapping its wings.
“They’re coming,” he whispered.
