This tutorial should tell you how to put up a vBulletin backup

First of all, you will obviously needto take a vBulletin backup-For the script e will be using you'll need to take it from the admincp

Log into your admincp and scroll down until you see the maintenance tab,open it and then click on database backup
http://img149.imageshack.us/img149/7073/screenie1kb8.png

The tab is shown above-Then take a backup,by clicking all yes at the top and then scrolling right down to where it says 'Go' Then save it to your computer for when you put it up

http://img210.imageshack.us/img210/8789/screenie2gq2.png

Now you must download the actual script file by going to http://www.ozerov.de/bigdump.php and then clicking on save to your computer

Right,when you put your backup up you MUST upload it to public_html on your server(No other folders inside etc!)

Once uploaded, upload your backup that you downloadedto your computer earlier to public_html as well (No other folders inside etc) It will take a few minutes to upload,depending on how big the backup is

Now you are almost there, and must edit the bigdump file for your details

Go down to where you see (If you cannot find it, it's line 43!):

// Database configuration

$db_server = 'localhost';
$db_name = '';
$db_username = '';
$db_password = '';

Leave localhost unless you know otherwise in the server name, and then enter the database details of your forum

Great,you're ALMOST done-Go to www.yoursite.com/bigdump.php and find where it says your backup that you uploaded name, and then click start import-Let it do its thing and if it errors go back to www.yoursite.com/bigdump.php and start again-If it gets to one hundred percent then its worked

Make SURE you then delete bigdump.php and your backup or people could keep resetting your forum back to that date

(Remember, you can get the bigdump.php file from http://www.ozerov.de/bigdump.php )

I hope this helped,

Sam
