Please read this. It could be very beneficial for your forums, and the members.
The top 12 largest forums in the world are part of Zoints, so please take the time to read

Zoints is an inivitive new scheme to globalise the forum network. Your forum could be part of a network with over 70 other forums, covering different topics.
A forum owned by David Chapman called http://livingwithstyle.com (http://livingwithstyle.com/) was the first site to join. This now has over 68,000 members.

Zoints means that as well as people viewing more forums, that many of the 10's of thousands of people already part of a zoints community will view this forum.

Zoints has a centeral profile for all users that wsh to sign up, with a MySpace type interface and editing feature.

This scheme does take a few exsisting members, but its prove to bring more members into a community that it takes away.

This is a testimonial from Quentin Gouedard, owner of Big-Boards.com (http://www.big-boards.com/)

Quote:
“I truly believe that Zoints will ignite a new era in the world of online communities. Not only will it provide an unprecedented user experience and introduce mind-blowing new interaction mechanisms, but Zoints will also break down the barriers that today separate the worlds of forums, blogs, picture sharing and other community services.”

Catalyze your community with Zoints, the Internet's first community-based social network. You will:
Gain New Members - Zoints will help new members find your forum via our innovative networking system.
Increase Revenue - You receive ad impressions on your member's profiles and profiles of anyone they refer.
Improve Brand Recognition - Brand your member's profiles with your forum colors, logo, and links.
More than 70 communities utilize Zoints, including some of the largest in the world.

Hundred of members are joining the Zoints Community each day. Over 50% of these are not from other communities, and so bring more and more people into your own community.

As a sucessful forum owner, I would expect you would like to increase your revenue from the forum, as your only human, and we all like extra cash. And as a successful forum owner, I presume you would like to get more members and become a much greater and influencial forum.

Please read the information from this link in order to make your decision.
http://zoints.com/tour/forum-owners/

I appreciate this may look rather strange, but it has worked for the other 70 communities.

This is the link for perspective members:
http://zoints.com/tour/prospective-members

Please take the time to consider this with the other members of staff, and if you really do not want to be part of this innovitive new scheme, please consider asking your other collegues and rivals who own forums.

I appreciate you taking the time to read this, as will the administrators of Zoints, and we look forward to seeing you join one of the new upcoming community bases.

Thank You

Joe Comins

Please note: You are eligable to sign up as a Zoints member without having an exsisting forum that is.
If you have a forum with over 100 members that would like to join this network, please PM me for further information where I can put you in touch directly to the Adminisrators.
Zoints will provide you with more information about this.

The 12 largest forums in the world are part of Zoints. Dont miss out on this opportunity.

Well, the owner, David Chapman, says he wants all sorts of people, and a large community such as this is perfect to go with the other 12 largest.

He wants to make an ultimate network of huge forums.

I want HabboxForum to go in, because it may get some nicer people in, and I want ThyBag to go in, as it would be hugly beneficial to them

Heres a copy of my post:

I was tlaking to a friend of mine about his forum joining Zoints.
I was all for him joining, until he pointed out some things. Coudl you just clear these up for me?

His first comment:
Its looks like a pyrmaid scheme, since there maths is a paradox; The same reason we cant build powerplants that power themselves. The actal profile system looks inferor to the alpha copy I have; It's just a scheme to get people on to there site, by makeing it look like it gets them members.

My comment:
Well, OK. But what have you got to loose. You havt got that many members anyway, and it will bring alot more than it takes.

His comment:
Many of my members. The trade is slanted in their favour.

My comment:
If they wanted, they would leave anyway. One search on Google, and the find thousands of other boards.

His comment:
Well anyway, their Ads from GoogleAdsence voilates the ToS as its Dinamically Configured

He then does on to say:

Unless they give real detail on what they do I'm not trusting it. Their information is completly useless. There's no details on the functonality, the system behind it, how it's paid for, or what you get in terms of loss or statistical data. Theres NO relivent infomration there.. At all... There 10 core princibles arnt even remotly related to the subject; They just avoid the question and attempt to trick people in to beliveing they've been given answers.

Their ToS and Privacy Policy are also well hidden.

Plus, only one of the forums in the top 10. Their "top 12 forums" are approx, 500 downwards.

In the ToS and PP, theres also problems:

TOS: III. Content Rights and Restrictions:
You acknowledge that Zoints retains all proprietary rights in the Zoints website and the Service, including but not limited to design, text, graphics, other files, and their selection and arrangement (the "Content").
This means whatever you post, they have the CopyRight for the second you post it, and thers nothing you can do about it.

PP: V. Fees:
You acknowledge that Zoints reserves the right to charge for the Services or certain parts thereof, and to change its fees from time to time in its discretion. If your membership is terminated due to a breach of this Agreement, any unused portion of your fees will not be refunded.
Meaning that you could charge for every post at any time?

Also, You can charge anyone at anytime for breaking the ToS, that is already unclear?

Please can you ellaberate.

I'm now torn in 2. Between Zoints with David Chapman, and Carl Bags.

In Short:

http://zoints.com/TOS.z
- They can fine you £50 for TOS violtions.
- Charge Fees when they wish
- Own any content you post on it

http://zoints.com/privacy-policy.z
- They can see your email to Spam companys, you agree to receave spam from them
- They will redirect people from your forum on to there site when they view there profiles.

- There Not very popular in reality
