Well there are two main ways.
The best way that gives you a good indexing, aka you appear high on search results, is get on an indexing trail. Aka You get linked to by a site thats already in the search engines index, so when the crawler comes by, it follows the link and then indexs your site.

The second way, isnt as effective and is just you submitting manually to search engines
http://www.google.com/addurl/

Ether way most search engines only update the index every few months, so theres alot of waiting involved.

I submitted my URL to google and it appeared quite quick:

http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=RadioPanel
http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=Radio+Panel

Use the cPanel tool. It has a mass search engine submit tool!

Just get your site crawled

META bots are probably the easiest way because you don't really have to do anything apart from put META codes in your website ;)
