Practising agnostic - as in, I do actually take into account what people believe to work out stuff for myself, rather than saying "NO UR RONG DERS NO GOD GOD H8S US AL!!1"

I read the most interesting (and good) points about the 10 commandments the other day, but I wont post it here. Too much debate would spark.

Shame about how debates don't work when religion's in question.. it's never actually a debate, just an argument that revolves around everyone saying "I'm right and won't change my opinions no matter what".

I know, you just can never seem to come to a conclusion when its involved. Strong opinions won't budge I guess, but why should they. Eh religion just sparks up too much of fuss for my liking.

Well make a thread on it and flame/bad rep anyone that starts acting childish ;D I like religion/normal based debates.

Yeah cos this forum is too immature and small minded to see 2 points of views, well not all this forum but the majority!

RedStratocas

Eh, Ill post it anyway.

Basically what it said was (if the christian god is right) the 10 commandments are the biggest misopportunity of all time. If you could pick 10 rules that EVERYONE had to follow, you would pick 10 rules better than these wouldnt you? There are some odd rules in the 10 commandments. Love thy neighbor is a waste of a spot where a better rule could be, isnt it? Imagine how different the world would be if the 10 commandments said No Wars. Or no violence of any kind.

"Love thy neighbour" really covers the idea of non-violence, as the Bible also states that everyone is our neighbour.

Craig I'll trade my shiny Charizard for your Misfits tickets.

Religion can be considered good in theory, but horrid in practice.

Religion is a cause of war, conflict and fighting. Easy examples: The 8 cruesades waged by Germany, England and France against the muslims back in medievil times. The conflict between Israel and Hizbollah basically stems from religion. The disgusting things the Nazis did can also fall under religion too.

It's funny a mysterious book can tell us how to live our lives. Has the bible stated that you should live your life how you want to and preach a religion that suites you other than its own bs?
