Get Involved Competition Winner

Habbo Name: Giro
Prize: 30GB iPod, 1 month subscription to Habbo Club, a Typewriter and two Thrones.

My concerns have always rested in the environment and raising awareness and hard cash for groups such as G Nation, so when I heard about the new event on Habbo I thought 'great! A chance to mix my Habbo interests with my life long interests of helping the Earth.

My most recent attempt at changing the world around me was to 'run the monoply board.' I didnt literally run of course but I visited every road, station and monument on that one board, in the good old city of London. I raised £121 for charity. I hope that more of you decide to help out in a way, even if its just a collection jar for every time you have a spare bit of change. All efforts count.

Thank you for this chance,

G-Nation says: "We believe that this is not only a fantastic idea, but Giro clearly demonstrated its potential as a fun way to get loads of people involved when he traveled the monopoly board by passing through the streets/ stations etc in London and raised £121.00 for charity."

Habbo says: "This is a very creative and novel idea that we are sure numerous people would love to try! Habbo staff have a nice head start too!"

Charity Photo Competition Winner

Habbo Name: Glitzening
Prize: £50 to charity of choice, 1 month subscription to Habbo Club, a Typewriter and 2 Thrones.

Well... I've raised money for charity alot of different times but these 2 pictures are the best pictures that were taken during the charity event. I know i should only have sent in one but i just wanted to show you a little taster of what type of things i do to raise money for charities. I'll just explain a little bit about each picture.

Picture 1
Me and my friends decide to put on a school production of Oliver to raise money for Save The Children. We performed it in our school and the public could come and watch it. It was a very fun and successful night. Overall i think we raised £200.

Picture 2
Me and my friends decided to get dressed up and walk about our nearest town dressed in silly costumes to raise money for Help The Aged. We walked around our town with buckets to collect the money in. Overall i think we raise £150.

I have done many more fundraising events but these are just a few of the best pictures i could find from fundrasing.

Get Involved Competition Runners Up

Habbo Names:
nausia
Tectonics
Pierre777

Prize: 1 month subscription to Habbo Club and a Typewriter.

"My Grandad became hard of hearing when i was just 5 years old and as time progressed it got worse and worse. Now my Grandad is 87 years of age and is completely death in both ears.

When my Grandad became completely death the people from R.A.D (Royal Association for Death people) really helped him by looking after him and giving the support he really needed. For example they installed a package on is television that allowed him to view sibtitles on most channels and R.A.D payed for sign language classes for him. This ensures he does does not miss eastenders or coronation street.

I was so happy with the sopport that R.A.D gave to my Grandad that I have always wanted to pay them back in some way for helping and comfoting my Grandad so well. As soon as I saw the article printed on habbohotel.co.uk about fundraising for charities with G-Nation I knew this was the perfect way to show my appreciation to R.A.D.

On July the 22nd I have decided I will become death for 24 hours. I will not actually make myself death, but I will be buying some very strong ear plugs that let almost no noise in atal. These ear plugs are so effective they are used on rocket launch sites to prevent damage to the ear. These ear plugs will be in my ears for 24 hours and i will be sponsored by my friends and family a certain amount of money for every hour i do this. My sister will also be taking part in this fund raising event.

I have already gathered over £100 on sponsor money from my family, friends and teachers from school. My Grandad has also sponsored me £5 for every hour. I am so motivated to pay back R.A.D that i am sure I will be able to do the 24 hours. I will also be with my Grandad for the whole 24 hours and he will be supporting me the whole way. By doing this I hope to raise enough money for R.A.D that they will be able to care for more and more people like my Grandad.

I hope everyone will be wishing me the greatest luck and will offer all the support they can give to me on the 22nd of July 2006."

G-Nation says: "We thought that nausia's dedication to the Royal Association for Deaf people due to his grandfather's experience washttp://images.habbohotel.co.uk/c_images/album214/dj_dance.gif particularly sensitive and well thought out."

Habbo says: "A fine example of commitment, dedication and how great things can be achieved when you set your mind to it."

"Hello There!

Here is my Competition Entry, on how we could raise money for Charity.

What would happen, would be that two or three Large Trucks, which have Loads (And I mean Lots!) of Square and Rectangular paving slabs on them (All Donated by big firms that like to support charities like B&Q, Wickes, and other local Firms; and they go around the country, from John O’Groats to Lands End, visiting all the Schools, Colleges and Universities, and Major Towns and Cities. People can then pay £1 to create a drawing on a Square paving slab, or £2 to create artwork on the Rectangular paving slabs, before they are glazed (In a clear glaze) and then put together (TATE Modern?) to see what artwork can be created from different ages, across the UK. The Funds from the entrance to the exhibition would also go to the charity, so the charity benefits all round.

All different mediums could be used to create the artwork on the paving slabs, from the obvious being Chalk, to others such as Paint or Sauces. (Ketchup, Mint Sauce, Mayo, Salad Cream etc.)

It would raise lots of money for the charities of choice, and would show how creative the kids and young adults are of today’s society.

Instead of a Boring Art lesson stuck with a Teacher going on about Picasso, and how to Paper Mache, how about creating your own masterpiece for charity! All for a measly £1 or £2.

Thanks for reading my idea!"

G-Nation says: "Art on Slabs - this is a brilliant idea that has the ability to reach many people from different backgrounds and has huge money-raising potential whilst allowing thousands of people to get involved and create something that represents the way that they feel about the World around them."

Habbo says: "This is another very creative idea that would be sure to create some excitement and a high attendance amongst any community".

"You could have a rock-paper-scissors tournament.

It's like the world cup because you all pay-to-play and then get put into groups.

Top two players would qualify and get to the next round.

You could do best out of three for each round.

For example:

Group A, Group B, Group C, Group D.

Group A winner would play Group D runner up and Group B winner would play Group C runner up.

Then Group A runner up would play Group D winner and Group B runner up would play Group C Winner.

They would pay like 10p for each game and the overall winner would win a £5 note and the rest would go to a chosen charity.

I think this would be very popular because rock-paper-scissors is a very well known game and I think people would really enjoy playing it."

G-Nation says: "Rock-Paper-Scissors tournament - what can I say..this is a wicked idea, simple, easy and everyone loves a good game of rock-paper-scissors."

Habbo says: "This brings back memories of deciding who would make the tea before Helkat came. We all think this is a very good idea for raising money for charity as it is a popular game that anyone can participate in."
