£20 for that? I dont like them, and quite a few things on them look nooby-ish
Which of Sygons are ypou buying?
I think hosting layouts should be simple as possible, if it's all technical with pictures of servers and everything with about 50 boxes then it may confuse some visitors.

Oli: I dont like it. Your navigations are too big, and you style isnt right for a professional market (Hosting)

Oli's Style is better than yours commins your style is clean Oli varies in styles which ultimately makes him better than you
@Pro-Soccer: We all have our tastes and styles ;)

Oli's doesnt vary at all. They are all busy layouts, mostly with big navigations, and uses alot of texture and patterns or alot of gradients. All are the same.
Mine works for the client. I do any style a client asks for, but the current market is for clean, simple layouts that are highly effective.
And a good exmaple to prove your theory is crap:
Argos does all sorts of crap. From Sofa to Coffee Machienes to Jewellry. Tiffany's only make jewellery. Does that mean that because Argos do more its better?

rofl, that hosting layout wos 'custom' to wot the client wanted.
and not everyone in the world wants clean. there are loads of people who prefer tech layouts

And Im saying people who want templates from me prefer clean. As do alot more people. Yours are techy as such. They are more bulky and highly image dependant.

Argh, stop arguing. You're both brilliant, but you're good in your owns styles.
Oli's good at graphics, and tech-style layouts. Joe's good at clean, professional layouts. Nobody's better because they do different style's of web design. It's like me saying I'm better than Tony Hawk at street skating. Of course I'm not, but he does Vert which is a different style to Street. So you can't say who's better than who because you both do different styles.
Thanks for reading :),

Didnt say I was better. I said I didnt like it, or his style. One hit wonder sort of thing. Tech - Maybe, but is more bulky, and not pure tech. Mine is simple, and effective, without using 3 million graidents, patterns, textures and scanlines

joe what you think of sygons one i posted?

Maybe that colour header, but with a slight gradient on it. I know I said to Oli you dont need them, but someotimes you need a few. It would give it more depth.
Maybe some rollovers in the nav bar.
Clean, simple. I have no problems with it, its just not my favourite, and doesnt slap me in the face and say, HOSTING *****!

lol ill have to ask syg about the gradient + rollovers have to be coded tho someone else is doing that.
JoeComins
18-08-2006, 04:33 PM
Rollovers have nothing to do with Sy, and a simple gradient takes about 1 minute, and will look better. Overall, I like his layout
Colin-Roberts

thats what i said rollovers have to be coded. and if syg comes on im going buy it :S
