Anyway, I am still intrested in what a gay guy could get another gay guy [around my age (14-16) so not socks or anything :p lol] as something to say 'I love you' :-)

maybe you could buy them clothes iuno.
if they're internet like, you could send them a text like christmas morning and be like "merry christmass <3" .. I'd like that ;']
Lol. If I was in an internet realationship I'd do that anyway, but I mean like if I met someone from the internet, I think it would be.. wierd handing him £20? :P

If he's into computer games maybe a new PC game or something... or even if he just has some sort of interest you could just buy him a gift voucher for somewhere.
You could maybe even treat him out to a themepark or out for lunch or somethng?

Find out what kind of things they like.. My friend likes Dragons, so his bf buy's him something to do with Dragons. I prefer Tigers, so the perfect gift for me would be something to do with Tigers.. Something that is significant to them, it's more meaningful, even if it's something cheap.
Hmm my words on this.
You have to get something of substance, Giftvouchers and Money are definately for occations like birthday...and by giving money to you're bf or gf just doesnt seem right.
Hardly anyone is into Games so no.
Hmm Flowers, too bulky.
Chocolateeeeeeeeeees?
Also never by a suprise gift, tell the person you are getting them something, otherwise they might be thinking: Why the hell did he/she get something jerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrk
There we gooooooo

Have to be immature eh?
I think either treat him to a day out, or buy flowers/chocolates or something.
Should enjoy it.

I agree, take him out somewhere, maybe for a romantic meal.
But if you want to buy him something, buy him something personal, that he can keep, or even make him something, some of the most special things you can give someone don't cost money.
I know i'd prefer my boyfriend to write me a poem or something, than to get me something like clothes.
Hope this helps S;

Buy him a frame with a picture of you and him in it, a love shaped frame would be good.

If my boyfriend gave me flowers I would be delighted. But unfortunately I doubt that's going to happen.

A cake... everyone likes cake.. well I do.
My last boyfriend did something really nice. He made a scrap book of photos of himself and love poems and letters from the heart. He did drawings and stuff and then on the last page he sellotaped a key and wrote "here is the key to my heart". It was soo sweet, I was over the moon.

I'd rather get a gift voucher and spend it on something I know I'm going to like, rather than get some present you don't even like, and need to pretend your grateful for.

Precisely ^^
It's like at Christmas, when you get presents and you sit there thinking "Oh god" but you have to say "Thanks, yeah just what I wanted!" It makes sense to buy them a gift voucher, because that way, you are giving them something you have bothered with AND it's easy!

Toooo right! Haha! ;P
Ok, ignore everything what everyone else has said before me. If you use that advice YOU WILL GET DUMPED <3. My advice that i'll give is just like a plan for the day kinda'
Ok here I go:
I think when you meet up with him, you could take him to a posh coffee place or Starbucks or something and sit in. Taking away is a big no-no on an internet meet i reckonz.
Then "oh no soz i need to buy a cd", take a stroll around HMV or something, ask him about his music tastes - maybe even check out the gay pawn section? (Omg you gotta' go to.. i think it's MusicZone in chester 4 that lolsls)
I don't think you need to buy him a gift like flowers or some clothes or something, 'cos you might seem a bit desperate and geeky.
If you were to buy him something though, maybe something unique? Something that reminds you of him?
And finally slip in a kiss innit.
AWWWW I shud so be a professional lurve maker rofl.

Don't think to 'impress' your Boy Friend you have to buy him something which costs a lot of money. Sometimes the simple things can help your relationship and please him. The normal thing that people buy there partner is a box of chocolates.
