Photography AS Level

I'm starting college in a couple of weeks and one subject I will be studying is Photography. I know the basics but would like to learn a bit more before I start because it would make me feel better. So I was just wondering if anyone knew of any good websites or something? I have looked but i've not really found anything.

Also is anyone else doing/done photography? Do you like it?

Im doing photography now, but im in australia so it would be different most likely. maybe borrow a book about basic photography or something. i enjoy it because we get to go outside and photograph stuff ;-)

I suppose a good URL would have to be DeviantArt (http://DeviantArt.com) and also Canen Art (http://www.canenart.com) is a good photographer and hangs out on his forum and Pixel2Life willing to give tips.
