I think the borders are too bulky.

The overall design I like but tech layouts arn't that good as portfolio's unless they are done superbly.

For a portfolio I'd stick with simple and attractive.

7/10 for the design.

Ignor them. Thats your style so use that as your portfolio. One thing, Above the navigation, they;re are the corners that are black about 20px form each corner of the nav. They look wierd.

That might be helpful for this style

A nice splash page to match, such as

would make it great

It was an opinion JoeComins. Let people have them please.

I said tech doesn't make a good portfolio. In my opinion.
I said the borders are too bulky. In my opinion.

And, those layouts look like Oli has looked at them already as I can see some similarties.

Thats why he should use a style he is good with for his portfolio - You can tell peoples style from them.

Just because there opinions, doesnt mean you cant ignor them. And my opinion is for him to ignor people like you, and use that. It was an opinion Xen. let people have them please

Oh dear Joe, it looks like you can't handle opinions, therefore you have to copy exactly what I say in dis-respute.

It was advice actually, for oli to ignore me, not an opinion.

So, if you was a web deisnger, you would use the same style, over and over again ?

Its not, but tech is his area of experties, so why have say a clean portfolio when all of his work is tech?

Use your head, and the thing inside

Joe, please stop being sarcastic, I was trying to help.

And, as I said, I don't like the big bulky borders.

As I said, if tech is his style, why would he use a different styled type of portfolio layout?
