Custom Skins

Anyone use any custom skins? I only usually use FPS Bananna for GUI's, and http://www.counter-strike-dl.com/source-skins.html for weapon skins.

I dont think you would be able to use the scope as it's only a skin, not sure though.

Xen is correct, the skins themselves are in no way, shape or form making you better, just something to add to your game and are in no way 'hacks', although, some servers prefer you not to use them as they believe it gives you an additional aiming help etc.

I find it easy to aim with it from long distances, along with the AK, there good for both long distance and short.

In some servers custom skins are not allowed because it's believed to be modifying the game, thus, giving you an unfair advantage

After downloading, press CTRL + A to select all the files in the folder, then extract to your Steam\SteamApps\[Steam ID]\CounterStrike:Source\CStrike and click 'Yes To All', and if it has worked, your custom skin should be installed next time you start CS:S.

In touraments, you get disqualified for using skins, as they can make a gun more/less obvious, and the length of your skins may make you be able to see other peoples guns while they are hiding etc.

If you use them, you may be disqualified from nearly every tourament that you enter
