The only people who have a chance of winning are those who can afford pretty much any rare that pops into their head and can have no fear of looseing profit on it.

Hey, the rooms are good, granted.. but the average habbo doesnt stand a chance of getting past the 1st round.

Perhaps most people will consider this a rant, my room didnt go through, but i wouldnt win, or be able to compete at all, with most the rooms up there (exept maybe portugal.. which i dont think is that good at all, maybe holland too) are very good, I particually like scotland.. which i could never of afforded to make myself.

Half of this stuff i must agree on e.g. the rubbishness of the rooms but nvm. As Sid just got through to the polls then obviously the rooms must be ok since well, he didnt use one single rare and he's not really popular. :P + He's a poor sod. LOL. I think, if youve got the right idea, and a way to make it cost-effective, you could have yourself a winner. :)

Actually habbo was prepared to answer this complaint.

If you read the rules of the comp you will see after every time they say "the owner of the best room in each of the 8 groups" they put after it (or the Habbo that found and submitted the room if the owner did not enter)

I dont see how you can argue against that.

For all we know someone could enter a room made by some famous habbo who didnt think about entering and win a purple dragon and infobus.

Some of the rooms are just normal rooms that have that countrys flag somewhere in it (e.g. whales)

If you had a room that already fit the catagory and heard about the contest would you deside to not enter the room?

Maybe she made other rooms too but just but a little bit of effort into that room to make it better.

Erm i think my room is worthy, when you consider the fact you are allowed to enter a random room you find that you dont even own.

I traded for all the furni and built the room, and iv been adding to it for ages, when i saw this comp i changed loads of it to make it fit.

Where you are asked to vote it simply says "Remeber, when casting your vote you should be considering the creativity in the room and how well the room resembles the country it is based on."

And i urge everyone to vote for their favourite room, based on the rooms own merits.

I couldn't agree more. There is far too much bribery going on - like messages on the console that "if I win everyone on my list gets a hc sofa, so vote for me" .... even offers of rep's from a Forum Mod on here if you vote? :eusa_snoo :eusa_naugSorry, but that's just not in the spirit of the competition.

I notice many of you aren't keen on the Holland room ... yet holland is world famous for two things, namely windmills and tulips. If you search dutch windmills on google images, you will see rows of huge windmills along the river banks, with seemingly tiny houses by them - and of course tulip fields.

Given that information ... I think the Holland room is an excellent representation of the country. Also some people prefer the "simple but effective" approach. I guess that is evident in the France room they chose :D I also did France (the Eiffel Tower) and MANY people have said that they think my room is way better than the one that was chosen. That comment isn't sour grapes btw :rolleyes: - I like the France room chosen, because firstly because of it's simplicity, and secondly because it didn't use any rares, so shows that ANYONE can enter and win (I tried not to use rares in mine, but couldn't resist the petals and bb :( ). With hindsight, I was never keen on my E Tower, and think I should have skipped the picnic area ... but that's besides the point lol.

Like memmish, I would urge people to vote honestly for whatever room they feel best represents the country it's meant to, and not just because they might gain something out of voting :rolleyes::P

Unlike the other rooms where i had to try and think what it was that was actually there.. such as Ireland. Took me a good while to relaise it was a rainbow.

Holland - Well, that was ok although the layout was perfect, the concept was good.
Ireland - Ok, I get it, leprachauns, but what?!

Welsh room and Portugal room - I can hardly believe they were the best on offer for that country. (I was gobsmacked when I saw them on the list - I know for sure that a member of this forum made a Welsh room with a load more effort, thinking about every piece of furni (such as telephone box for Dr Who which is filmed in Wales).) I liked the Loch Ness room, but so much more could have been done with it. It just looks like a "fill wall with holly and use silver dragon to make me look rich" type of thing, and forget about the rest of the room. Really nice idea, but much more could have been done.

Holland was very twee, and not too bad. Poland... looked like a series of quest rooms that were renamed. Doesn't really shout "Poland" to me, even if it is nice. ^_^ Ireland was not bad at all, and I liked the rainbow idea. It took me a few minutes to realise it was a rainbow, then I loved it. Then I looked at it a bit more, and noticed it used colour "blocks", rather than "strips". Strips would be hard to do on Habbo, but I've seen a "block colour" rainbow before, so nothing new IMO.

London Bridge - I loved the bridge itself, but the room was a bit "bleh". Pillows by the side of the bridge? Last time a checked, each side of the bridge had roads leading towards it. Nice room, but could have been better. The German room was nice. I liked the little houses up the top (have a love for gingerbread houses ^_^).

Spain was also average. Aside from the flags and choice of colour for a few pieces of furniture, it didn't shout "Spain" to me. On first glance, it looked like any other Habbo caf&#233;, with a few things changed around to make it fit with the Spanish theme.

The French room wins my vote. I don't know why, but I don't like the arch itself. Everything else I do like, though. ;S The simplicity of the room, and how it fits the theme so well... Plus, the owner hasn't gone overboard with flags. Unique use of furni (no rares), and still pulls of the theme to a tee. I hope this room makes it through in this category.

Lol, I really don't know. I know you consulted the forum for ideas on how to improve the arch, so I doubt it could be made any better. Actually, I wouldn't say I don't like the arch, I'd just say it doesn't particularly stand out in the room. I think the arch is part of the room as a whole, and fits the theme, whereas some rooms have 1 item being the focal point of the room.

Seriously, it's a really nice job, and with the restrictions that the Hotel has, I don't really know how that could be improved, else I would have posted in your thread. Good luck!

LOL Well that's the first I've heard of THAT rumour, and I assure you that rumour didn't originate from JamaicanBob (Holland room creator) - he's just happy his room was selected and doesn't expect to win the weekly vote - neither would he stoop that low.
