Now Leon has gone we have 3 strikers at Norwich:
Ry Jarvis- very young, not much experience
Earnie- He's about the only decent goalscorer we have
Peter "I can't hit a barn door" Thorne- Enough said.
I'm really annoyed because our squad is wafer thin now, any injuries and we are stuffed.

:o i saw it on Sky Sports News late last nite, Coventry signed him with about 20 minutes to go till Transfer window closes. We get 15 % of the 1 Million Coventry payed apparantly
id rather he stayed at Norwich though ;o

1 million? I thought our valuations of him were higher than that :s If Earnie gets injured before January we're doomed.

I'm really annoyed Craig I think hes gone for 600,000 but it could rise to 1 million but we never bought anyone in to replace him. And he was a fans fave :(

He's worth more than that, will be very annoyed if he puts one over us against Coventry. Now it's loan singings or youth

He can't play against us for Coventry this season as part of the deal so he won't be playing against us next week thank god. :p

Oh good, at least they wont be as much as of a threat with McKenzie unable to play and McSheffrey at Birmingham, I can see one or two Championship sides looking to take out Earnie so then we're stuffed.

Yeah he went for £600,000 which could rise to 1 Million on appearances..
Whats 15 % of te Transfer fee ? we get that amount whatever that is.. (Im not good with Percentages)
Very good Championship player, 1 million? Abit steep I think.

I would of though a bit more than a Million... mind you we sold him to Norwich for about £100,000 ? or more

It's 600,000 rising to 1 million
so 1 million = 150,000
600,000 = 90,000

Not bad.. just ads to the £250,000 we got for Sean St Ledger to Preston (which could rise to like £500,000 on Apperances and promotion clause (now he's in Republic of Ireland team for match against Germany 2moro should add to the money aswell)
anyway so Norwich didnt get any Strikers in ? :o

No one at all and thats the main reason I'm annoyed. We had a bid for some young lad accepted but at the last minute Wigan took him from under our noses. Personally I think we should have got Chris Sutton back here. Or taken a gamble on someone like Eastwood.

your in the same situation as Carlisle then, we only have 3 strikers at the club now since Bridges went but we do have 2 out on loan which we can recall.

Yeah Chris Sutton would have been good on a pay as you play deal.

Regarding strikers we are in trouble...
In our 1-0 home loss today against Bury of all teams ;S Simon Yeo suffered: a Fractured Cheekbone, Broken Nose, Damaged his eye socket as Kasper Scmeichel (Peter Schmeichel's son) jumped up to catch the ball, he's a goalie, jumped up and kneed Simon Yeo in the face, he was knocked out, eyes closed and wasnt moving. He had to be taken away on a stretcher and put in recovery position laying sideways
Trevor Benjamin suffered Hamstring strain which isnt bad
and we now only have 1 Goalkeeper as our sub goalie Luke McShane has gone on a 1 month loan to Kettering

Are you sure it wasn't a boxing match?

we have a mix between young and old in our strikeforce,
england u18 - ray jones, dexter blackstock, shabazz baidoo (all pretty young) then furlong (who's almost 40 but scored a ton of goals in division 2 in promotion season) and gallen who's gettin on. jones and blackstock are really exciting prospects though!

yeah i saw a few of them on Sky Sports 1 or 2 when it was QPR vs Ipswich Town (Team we knocked out of Carling Cup round 1 :D) Ipswich had same team out all season apart from 2 loanee's tht weren't aloud 2 play

Now leon has said "the fans turned against me." What a crock of ****. I've lost all respect I had for him now. City fans have done nothing but support him and the last game when he came on against Barnsley we chanted his name.. what more does he want? I'm glad hes gone now, good riddance. :eusa_danc
