Cod and myself were messing on in my room earlier, so I put da st00pid skemmer (joking) on Ignore. He reloaded room, and he was still on Ignore. I tested this with a few other people, and they remain ignored.
I had some reservations over this, thinking that you could forget someone was on Ignore even when you were in a different room, which led me to conduct another test. I put Cod on Ignore, and reloaded my room. He was no longer on Ignore.
So now, if you put someone on Ignore, they remain ignored until you reload the room, or go to a different room. You no longer have to use Ignore again if they reload the room. ^_^ I don't know how long this has been in effect, but I know someone asked Becs about this a few days ago, and she mentioned that it would change to a system such as this. I'm also pretty sure it's not been posted, because it shocked me. ;o

I don't know. I was under the impression it wasn't old, due to some of the comments that have been made in the threads relating to the Ignore Campaign. However, if it is old, feel free to give a link or something to close this thread. ^_^

I think this is new. I remember working in Positive Help all those many months ago, and ignoring was one of the main things I did. When someone I ignoed left the room, they came back un-ignored. So I think this is new? Might have something to do with this unknown V10.

I asked IDrew about it, and he thinks this "fix" was added when the fix to kicking was made, which was a couple of days ago?

It isn't new, but good find for others. Once some idiot wouldn't stop annoying me ages ago, I put them on ignore, they kept reloading and were still on ignore.
To the post above, thats wrong, because some weirdo kept saying something annoying to me and evolution in the school club thing, and they reloaded loads of times and were still on ignore. I don't know if he'll remember, but I do.

lol, suppose this shows how little people use the ignore function otherwise this wouldve been reported sooner xD

Indeed. Did a quick search which returned 5 pages, and none of the opening posts mentioned it. The question is: how old is this?

Hmm, well the thing with the girl in the after school club was a while back, before Callie left (probably a month or so before).
It may have been even longer.

Yup this is old, It was always like that as far as iknow.
I'm 99% sure it was like this when the ignore button came out..

Definately wasn't, because flooders would just keep reloading room regardless of how many times people put them on Ignore. It might have been changed in a recent release (possibly v9, but not earlier). However, many Habbos, Habbo Xs, friends, and myself were unaware that Ignore "stuck", hence used it as one of the criticisms. An update was most certainly made to it, and very low profile for such a "high profile feature".
I've since performed another forum search, and looked over a number of fansites, and found nothing. I'll leave it up to anyone who can prove how old this is, or to the forum Moderators.
Meh dont know then, Im pretty sure it was before v9 too..

It's always been the case and never any different. The ignore button only refreshes itself once you leave the room. Whoever said it makes the FOMO campaign more effective, that has got to be the biggest joke of the year. I find it even more stupid, considering they tell you to ignore doorblockers and room owners, even though ignoring cannot do anything and you cant ignore owners. They'll then say leave the room, which is disrupting your game play.

You can ignore room owners, theres a scripting way but it's not worth scripting it :p
I got banned for advertising my giverway, then some idiot swears at me a lot and doesn't get banned? Hello, mods please do your job properly.
nvr knew bout much of this.. ^^
Be better without ignore button though and for mods to put more effert into the job other than jsut ignore um and that ^^

Good news about the button it is a bit silly if they just reload the room and can be heard again... You've ignored them for a reason :S!

Is Soapbox still around? Or the Habbo Council? I might go suggest about getting rid of Moderators and see how many stupid reasons they give to keep them. This whole ignore thing is the biggest joke around, Habbo is slowly crumbling.

Agreed, Sulake must be wasting a fair bit of money on their moderators atm, i would quite happily do it for free and do a much better job based on communication with the average habbo
Then again i suppose we cant entirely blame the moderators, they have bosses to feedback to and i can only assume that they were the ones who cooked up FOMO, its just moderators get the brunt of the attacks as theyre the messengers
On the other hand, i dispise the fact that FOMO hasnt been though through or properly communicated, mods have a tendency to pick calls at random and either choose to ban them or not based on nothing at all. You can be racist to someone and get away with it even if they report you but you can go into another room moments later, flood and get a 2 hour ban
Just my two cents :D

Yes, it might have always been that way. But the main point I was getting at, was that if you put someone on Ignore, they can no longer just reload the room to be removed from Ignore, as was the case. I am more than 200% sure that it didn't used to be like this - but I do not know when it came into effect. It does make the Ignore button more effective than it used to be, but it's still not the answer for everything, which is the message we are being given. There is very little documentation on Official Fansites about this change, nor on this forum.
Gomme, Nick - totally agree.

That's fine - I was just curious why I could not find anything about this on any official fansite, or through doing a search on this forum.
You leaving the room to reset your Ignore "list" has always been the case. But other people could reload the room to be taken off your Ignore "list". That is the main change I am underlining, and "months ago" isn't a fair estimation of how long it's been in effect. It certainly wasn't in place before v9, and a fair number of people I've asked were sure that it was after then.
Although X's may not know everything, one was under the assumption that it was previously glitched, and was fixed recently, around the time the kick thing broke. (Which was about a week ago?)
Rather than spouting off the word "old", which I will accept, I would prefer if someone would give a better idea of when the change was introduced, because there was most certainly a change to the ignore button. If you remember, there was heavy criticism on the fact that an ignored individual could just reload the room and spam a load of nonsense again.
