About 45 minutes. I was trying to be on Habbo at the same time.
I've never done recolourings before apart from one i tried last night.

They look cold and scarey. Would be good for halloween and medevil rooms

Most or probably all pixel artists do their work in Paint

Someone told me to use photoshop. But i just prefer the simplicity of paint.

Using Photoshop for doing recolours takes no effort. All you have to do is change the Hue and Saturation.

1. Everyone (Pretty much) Uses paint, so don't attention seek about that ;)
2. It took you 45 minutes? O.o
3. You haven't done it very well... the difference between colours is huge and you've gotten ride of alot of the shading.
4. B&G&W is so simple and boring. :S
