What's the difference between physical and emotional pain?
:eusa_wall :s :( :@ :eusa_pray
Which brings more pain?
Every day people talk about how empty they feel inside.. the pain they feel inside. But how can they get rid of that? Hovering between the "Guns" isle and the "Anti-Depressants" isle in stores doesn't help out much.
But then every day car crashes occur, accidents occur, hammers crash on fingers, nails dig into skin, skulls bash into walls... And the pain just doesn't subside. You can feel the blood drifting from your skin and the color in your face fades as you run out of blood in your body.
Every day people drink away their pain, they drink away seeing their ex wife they still love with someone else, their children die, their parents die, their true love belonging to another. They drink and drink and drink until the bar is out of beers and alcohol. Or they let blood bleed from cuts in their body, they harm themselves, just to feel something other than the pain they feel inside. Or simpler, just gulp down a few pills and see if the doctors are right and the pain subsides.... Or even simpler, jump from a high building and see how much your body can withstand... Shoot yourself with a gun and see how much blood you can lose before dying. It's all a matter of choice..
Or you can be rushed into a hospital with pain you have never imagined before in your life. You can see a bright light and you see your passed on family and people you love before your eyes, and you just want it all to go away, but it doesn't. You can feel where your leg has been thrashed open, you can feel where your heart has been stabbed, you can understand why they're ripping at your lungs, trying to get oxygen to circulate your body. Phsyical pain is so complicated. They can give you a shot, just put a needle into your body, and for a breif moment you feel a pain shoot through you until it all goes away and a faint tingle still lingers in your body. Or simply, of course, it's always an option.. just pull the plug on the entire operation.
Sometimes there's not even anyone there, so all you can do is lay on the ground and wait.. wait to see if someone notices you missing before all the blood in your body has spilled on the floor, until the cut on your forehead heals over and you can muster the strength to walk away.
Which is worse, physical pain, or emotional pain?
A question with an answer that varies.
