Not Hard.
My friend is ALWAYS doing Geography Coursework.
You can only drop subjects at request of teachers.

Depends if you like it or not. I liked it so it didn't bother me much. The coursework is pretty much easy, just the case of doing it all. Theres a fair bit to do aswell but if you stay on top of things you'll pass it easy. I think the coursework adds up to 40% of your final GCSE grade?

Our geog teacher said there is alot of coursework, but most is going on trips anyway ;)
You can drop subjects.. But its down to the teacher, then you have to ask the head and blah blah blah.. I dropped music though, was pretty easy to do.
I did my GCSE's just under 2 years ago, I didn't revise at all, and I got fairly decent results, I had a few mates who did geography and he said there was tons of coursework.

Im in year 11 now, doing Geography coursework at the moment. It seems a lot of work, but our teacher has broken it down for us. Making sure we're all at the same part. It's in for the 3rd Nov :x
I know someone who's dropped a subject this year, she was disruptive though.

Yeah there is a lot of Geog coursework, and at our school, you cant drop any subjects once you've chose them.
I am not sure about what exam board you are using. But in ours, there is one piece of coursework but it is very large. 25% of our overall result I think.

In my school the Geography coursework is phenomenal, they had to compile a 20 page study of Exeter as one assignment. Mapping, local amenities, making surveys, everything.
I took History, so i'm not completely sure of the curriculum but from what i here it's hard work.
I'm not aware of anyone dropping subjects, however i moved schools during Year 10 and joined Art hallway through the course. So if you have a valid reason then i shouldn't see why, although you'd have to catch up quite a bit.
And lastly, no it isn't too hard really. If you meet deadlines, listen in class (everything is usually said roughyl in class, so take notes) then you should be fine.
And i just realised this message is kinda long :)

I was meant to go to Wales for a Geography trip but we didn't go because it always rained in the previous trips so the teachers decided not to go there anymore :|
So we went to Walton-on-the-Nase in Clacton, lol.

I never chose Geography because I hated it with a passion. My other leassons I chose I have a fair amount of courswork.
Done 2 for French
Done 2 for History
Done 3 pages of a 10 page essay for Drama
Done 4/5 pieces for English
1 for Maths
1 for ICT
On all of them subjects there is more to come (apart from English). We are also starting the Business Studies coursework SOON! Coursework can be very annoying though, especially when it begins to build up.

I've convinced our geography teacher to take us to Alton Towers in April ;)
He said fine we can, but we have to do a local study on the area, and then do some surveys on the site and weather it would be suitable for people to live there and all that malarki.
I could do that with my eyes closed, now I can just go to Alton Towers and enjoy the rides ^_^

Are school won't take us Alton Towers. The only possible way we would go there is it was protection from a Nucelar Bomb

No you can drop it and change to something else which is running on same days same time all the time e.g. if you have geog every monday 2nd lesson and at the same time another course lets say art is running the same times etc then you can switch in the first 2 weeks or so.
