Can anybody tell me if you kill higher level monsters will it give more slayer exp or is exactly same?

Yes it is, and when you get wolves, kill the highest lvl wolves, you'll get more xp. This is for all the monsters.

nope. i got goblins as a slayer task. I killed like 20 hobgoblins, and the number didnt even come down, it was still 42.

Because Goblins aren't the same as Hobgoblins. And the higher hits the monster, the more slayer exp you get

Yup, so if you get a troll task, rather then killing the lvl 63 trolls, you can kill the lvl 91 trolls earning around 100xp more slayer xp per kill, aswell as getting much better drops (i got 6 g shields in 2 slayer tasks of killing 100 trolls per task - i got around 1 mill from the drops :D)

You get the same xp for slayer as the monstors hp.
I hear it is half xp for majority of hits and the other half for the final hit.
Say you have been given an assignment for 10 kalphites. You could go and kill 10 kalphite workers and get a small amount of xp
Or you could kill the kalphite queen 10 times and get allot more xp because she has higher hp.
