As i suspected, college didnt do one.
Wouldnt of been possible anyway, not everyone is in a lesson at once, there is someone in town, or wandering in the corridors.
Plus it was 5 years ago, its not fresh in peoples minds anymore, no offense, but people are moving on from it now.

nope - it's a shame really. but it's true, 75.000 have died in IRAG and that, we don't do siliences for them, if that was the case, we would do silences everyday...
However, we will have a silence in July for the Tube.. s the govermant is petty like that. - blame blair. :P

I dont think we should ahve one. Yes, alot of people died, but do we have silences for the Battle of the Somme, and for the 10 of thousands of people who died every day in WW1 and WW2? No
America knew all about this, and they said it would never happen, so they didnt fork out on extract sercurity.
If you leave your door open and go out, people may walk in. Same principle. Lock your door, and make it harder for the burglur.
We didnt have a silence, we have:
Could the owner of the Black Saab please move it as soon as possible, as its blocking the access way for the new toilets, and the trac'ors that are trying to get onto the top field.
Thank You, from the bald man upstairs
Also, for poeple comparing it to Iraq, 40 something soldiers died in 2 months. Thats hardly anything, and we are suppose to be btohered? I work on Macianvellian-type principle. Hundreds of thousand of people died in 1 day, yet do we have silences for them? Theres still teh death penelty in some states in America, and idiots walking the streets commiting mass-murder, and killing inosent people every day. No-one deserves there like taken, even if it does cost £100,000 a year to keep 1 prisoner. We are paying that in taxes to be safe.
So why should we feel sorry for Americans who faked their own deaths in the towers, as eveidence has reveled, and why should we feel sorry for the people who knew an attack would happen, yet sat back and relaxed blindedly?
No - I do not feel sorry for them. Yes, it is terrible in the modern world, and the modern age, but why are they any different to people who are raped, murdered, and made their lives hell? It shouldnt happen, but it did. End of story. Remember it, and move on.
Does anyone object to this? Instead of flaming me, take me on in a specialist debate. :)
Thanks
Tanya

67 Britons? More Britons have died on holiday in Spain, where they when to see cheap houses, and were kidnapped for £20,000 each, per letter.
More Britons die on holiday.
Theres 60 million people in the UK. 67 / 60 000 000 isnt alot.
How about the millions that died across the nations in World Wars? That seems to be over looked with modern terrorist attacks
we had 1 min silence in maths at 12 - didnt really seem like a minute.. more like 10seconds but u no...

We had a 2minute silence at 11am, We always do a silence for:
9/11
London Tube Bombing
Rememberance Day
But we silence for 9/11 due to about 10 people died in the attacks from the company i work for, so its a pretty big thing for us.
London Bombings: Well you got to do that since it happened in our own country
Rememberance Day: Like i said we got to do that to pay respect to the soldiers who lost there lives.

Actually, its more like the murder of Franz Ferdinand by the Blood Hound Gang. Meaningless, and a bit excuse. Pearl harbour was thought about, and was done with military pricision.

They won't do one anyway, I'm not being mean but it's like what? 5 years on, and people need to get on with their lives, theres more terrorist attacks that don't have a minutes silence dedicated to them, so it is kinda fair.

Alot of you saying "it wasn't our fault" would come on here and try to make
people have a silence, if it was anyone related to your family.
I made my science teacher do one at 12.

I was at college, and there wasn't one. But, i guess it depends when the minute silence was, because some people have free periods/breaks & lunch.
Would of been hard to do really.

I kinda agree, but I still think we should have a silence... AND for the 40,000 people who were killed in Iraq too :o
But when I was in Geography (last lesson I think) me and my friend Lauren did a two minutes silence on our own xD

We attempted one at the nursery, the kids didn't really understand though... and i don't know bout you guys but when i think of 9/11 i not only think of all the innocent americans killed that day, all the familys torn apart but i also think of the aftermath and the thousands of iraquis who were un nessicerilly killed, who were just as innocent. <33
