Big Brother star Imogen Thomas is to make her acting debut in a Welsh-language soap opera.
The 23 year-old former Miss Wales said she was delighted to be asked to take part in the long-running BBC Wales drama series Pobl y Cwm, which is broadcast on S4C and set near her home town of Llanelli, South Wales. "I'd love to get into acting - presenting and TV work is something I want to do and it's great to be asked to appear on Pobol y Cwm," she said. "My family watch it and I used to watch it when I was living at home."
Imogen will play herself in the soap. She will appear as a VIP guest at the opening of a new garage run by entrepreneur Ronald Steadman (Wayne Cater) and his trophy wife Lucy (Heledd Baskerville).
"I felt a bit nervous especially as there were so many people around, but the producers and other actors made me feel at home and talked me through the process and I'm really excited about it.
"I've got some lines to say and they've even included the 'Hot Topic' and a few 'babes' as part of the script!" Imogen can be seen on Pobol y Cwm on October 6 at 8pm, on S4C.
