Daily mail on "Emos"

I read in kerrang today a section that the daily mail had published on emos describing them as violent self harmers , this to me is sterotyping which is highly unfair. What do you think?

Yea, i read about that, they made out emos to be some sucidal self harming people, when they are just really more open about their self harming & sucidally ways then others.

Okay, we all know that stereotypes dont apply to everyone, there is no need to say "but not all emos self harm!!!!!!!". Stereotyping is a generalization which means not everyone.

If everyone in Ohio, lets say, thinks the sun revolves around the earth except for one person, isn't it still safe to say everyone from Ohio is an idiot? Yeah, it is. No, stereotypes dont apply to EVERY SINGLE PERSON, dont state the obvious. But let's face it, emo kids cut themselves and are more depressed than other people.
