They upgrade the models so quickly... I got my 20gb Gen 4 black and write contrast screen... like just more than 1.5 year ago gees... Still working lol

Theyre okay looking, but they still should have kept the mini, I think the mini was absolutely perfect, really. Oh well. Creatives for me:)

However, I think the best idea would be ipod cover changers, like they have for palm pilots. Where you could just take off the plastic cover and get a new cover with a different color or design or whatever and just change it when you want to. Im sure if you get other companies involved, there would be a million to choose from. Oh well, guess youve got to stick with what youve paid for.

obviously when the nano came out, someone got a white/black one, then a year later they release colors, and within a years time your nano might get full of songs, so you go out and buy a colored nano.

Nah, actually MP3 companies are getting out of the "make it smaller" phase and going for better quality now. They relized people dont like it too small, the nano should be the smallest of the ones with a screen.

I popped over to the Apple Store at Bluewater and bought myself a Black Nano yesterday. Then I walked back in a decided to get the Blue Nano instead.

I'm happy :)

Why didnt they make more colors like creative does? Is it really that hard to make different colors? 5 (3 if you want to get technicall with black and white not being colors) isnt really many?

The idea behind most (or all) Apple products is that they try to make products as simple, yet appealing aesthetically to consumers. If consumers do want to choose other colors, they can choose from the Nano line. Also, they do it for recognition. Since the iPod almost has its own patented shade of white and the like, it's easier to distinguish an iPod from another MP3 player in a crowd simply because of the uniform color, therefore, it is noticed more than say if an MP3 player came in 20 different colors.
