Right, my friend Tom who i met on holiday was meant to be coming down this weekend but now he's not sure.

Let's start at the begining, on the 14th of september 1989, a sexy little baby was born, this baby was named Bef...
Almost 17 years later she starts getting harassed by this guy Mogs who turns out to be a complete physcopath who goes for people with hammers.
Anyway, after a month or so if his hassling me i finally clicked and told him straight to "**** OFF AND KEEP THE **** AWAY FROM ME" but in a lot more words, and how does he react?
By getting in his car drunk off his head stopping the first people he saw who happend to be friends of friends of mine and threatning them with a hammer (3 boys and 2 girls)
Then what? He rings me up, and tells me he's after me, that he's going to split my head in two with a hammer.
What do i do? Well after a lot of shouting down the phone i run back to my mates, lock all the doors and windows and cower in a corner.
Nenywho, i rang up Tom, my friend who lives in England and told him about it. Last weekend i was worried Mogs would turn up in town this weekend (we are all going out to celebrate my birthday) So i told Tom this, now he doesn't want to come down. I really wan't him to though.
I know about 30 odd guys who would happily get Mogsys head on a stick so im 99% sure he won't show his face this weekend but how do i convince Tom of this now? And what if he does?
In 17 years i have never ever had a stress free birthday, something always has to ruin it, i thought this year would be different.

So yeh, what would you guys do? Il be completely gutted if Tom doesn't come down, but then again. I would be even more gutted if he came down and something did kick off... Help?

That is a shame.

Okay well, I think the only way to ultimately get this sorted - is to face the problem head on. I think you should get on the phone to this Mogs guy, and tell him your sorry for the stuff you said and what happened, but it's not fair what he was doing to you and your not going to put up with it anymore. Say to him you'd like to have a friendship with him, and do your best to end the call or whatever, on good terms.

That way, you could inform this Tom, that he's safe to come down withou any bother happening!

However if things dont work out like that, you just need to hope he'll come and understand if he doesn't, as to him - his safety obviously comes first. You could perhaps tell him you'd feel a lot better and more safe etc. if he was there aswell though...

I hope you get thing's sorted though, as everyone deserves to have a good, enjoyable birthday. If the harrasment etc. continues - I definetley think you should get in touch with the police yourself, and perhaps tell your parents etc. about the whole situation, so an adult or someone could come into town with you aswell, just to check things are ok.

My auntie and uncle already know, My uncle was on the phone to him saturday night threatning him slightly.

That's good advice but i don't know if i could face ringing Mogs, he's seriously upset me and freaked me out. Also, he's the sort of person who if you threw him a line would bite your arm off. I might play the whole damsel in distress card with tom and say id feel safer if he came, cos tbh, i proberly would <3 Thanks for advice both of you. I got no rep power on this account but +Rep when i get Bef back :P <3

Damsel in distress always works, theres nothing more a man likes more (ok so theres a few things a man may like more) than to feel like the big hero.
We're all arrogant don't let ANY bloke thnk different.
