View Full Version : Excluded for this?

Right, at the end of the school year we all get taken on a reward trip to a theme park. This year, I brought my concent form back 3 days late so I was told I wasn't allowed to go. I complained to them and stuff, but they still said no.

I sneeked on the coach, got my mates to hide me whilst the teachers did a register on the coach, hid under the seat the entire journey and then got one of my mates to get 2 tickets off the teachers once we got there, so I could have one.

They didnt notice until it was time to go back to school. They gave me a big lecture about 'how dangerous it was to come' and 'how they can get into trouble for taking me'. They still had my concent form though, so they're talking out their butt :]

Then on the very last day of Year 10, I got called into the head's office and he said he was going to contact my parents, even though they knew everything cos I texted my mum whilst I was on the coach saying "I managed to sneek on! =)!", and then maybe exclude me at the start of Year 11. He even said it might be necessary to permenantly exclude me, but chances are he was just doing that to scare me.

I shouldn't be excluded right? I mean, its hardly drugs or anything.

Pmsl, you rebel! :P

I don't see why they should exclude you for that :l

But it's most likely they're saying that to scare and make you 'learn a lesson' lol.

Good luck getting back in! :P :D

It's because if anything had happened say a fire on the coach for instance they wouldn't have known you were on there and would have only counted the people they had who were supposed to go. You could have therefore been trapped and no teachers would have known.

Also they might have done a head count and you could have ended up being left behind or anything and the teachers would hae been the ones in trouble.

I do think its a bit harsh that you were excluded but had anything happened to you it could have been alot worse...

Detention should be the most you get..

Rizla

Drugs isn't an exclusion, it's a 3 day suspension in most schools....

Anyway, what's your past record like? That has a big part on permanent exclusions, unless somebody got severly hurt you can appeal and probably get back in if it happens.

Not necessarily, it depends on how strict the school is and how seriously they take this sort of situation.

14-09-2006, 02:57 PM
I think they were right to exclude you. If anything happened to you on the trip, the school would be in trouble and if something happened a school, say a fire, and you were thought to be at school, your teachers could be looking for you everywhere at the school.

So yea.

Jamie!

You can understand where your school are coming from...But you shouldn't be permanently excluded, thats just too harsh.

alexxxxx
14-09-2006, 03:00 PM
I think you should get the highest detention. Its not exactly a saftey issue is it? If there was a fire, one of his mates would have said "Oh wait Sam's on there."

Dunno what kinda school you go to, but drugs are illegal, so in our school you get kicked out.

It depends on what class the drug is, whether you are caught with intent to supply, whether you are under the influence, and more. Also, if you are caught with the intent to supply, it depends on the police and other parents stances on it, and only after charges have been made willl the school consider taking a pupil back. Are you sure your school would permanantely exclude you for getting caught smoking green? Look into it.

mine would have, we got given a letter when we were accepted into the school ANY drugs you had only even if it was only green you were kicked out.

my friend got suspended/excluded whatever one it was for 3 days for getting caught smoking tobacco about half a mile down the road just because she was in school uniform, thats how strict it was.

It would be perfectly normal to be excluded for that reason.
Because they were not expecting you to be on the coach, they wouldn't have been responsible for you; and if there had been an accident and you were injured or even died (hiding under a seat is incredibly dumb), your parents could have taken the school to court to sue, the school could have been closed down, and it would have been really hard for everyone there.
So this is why the treat has been caused. Because you did put the school and yourself in danger.
It is realistic to be excluded at the beginning of term but not for a whole year.

If you think your school is strict, try mine - if they catch you doing anything remotely objectable it's a definite suspension, and a long one if you're in school uniform.

If you smoke/take drugs, especially in uniform you'll be gone in seconds.

What - even the 16-year-olds arn't allowed to smoke?

Rizla
28-09-2006, 06:25 PM
There's some policy in most schools that you aren't allowed to smoke in uniform. Not all teachers enforce it though. There's also a law which says you can't smoke on council property, so unless you're in a private school, you can't smoke on school grounds by law, not school policies.

Are you sure class C drugs are an exclusion? Everyone just presumes. I bet there are people who're stoned every day in your schools, you just don't notice. The only time you'd notice is if you smell it on them, take a good look in their eyes, or they're that annoying kind who put it on, rather than just enjoying the high.

"OMGZ I'M SO STONED OFF DA GREEN HAHAHAHAHAHAHA YOUR FUNNY"

I hate people like that.

In my school, you'd get expelled!

My school is like the strictest in England. You get a 1-3 day suspension for having a phone in school. You get a week suspension for punching somebody. There were a group of kids doing drugs and they got expelled.

How long was your suspension for anyway?

my school kinda funny our headteacher got the sack or a verrry long suspension which i doubt

assisant head hasnt been in school since last year

we have some geezer as acting head atm which is kinda alright

for some reason the teachers dont do anything to the bad ones :p like me and my mates if we do anything the teachers will ignore but if someone does it theyll get done ;)

Well its the schools fault for being so stupid not to accept your form despite your parents giving authorization.

Next time you should go along with a friend seperate to the school. ;)
