Doesn't surprise me in the slightest.

Source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter

Randy Orton is the first WWE wrestler to fail a drug test under the WWE Talent Wellness Program's new guidelines - which recently went into effect. Despite his failure in a recent drug test, he will not be pulled off the road. He will continue to appear on both TV and PPV shows, but as a general rule, he is not supposed to appear on house shows for 30 days. Orton didn't appear at any house shows this weekend. For that matter, he hasn't appeared at a house show in about a month.

Under the old guidelines, Orton would have been taken off the road for 30 days due to suspension. Also, he would have lost one month's worth of salary. Under the new guidelines, he will continue to work TV and PPV shows, but he will only have his road expenses covered and receive no bonuses for the shows. The only non-change in the new guidelines is that he will have his downside guarantee docked for 30 days.

WWE recently changed their guidelines because they didn't want to have to interrupt storylines or change PPV matches if a wrestler was to fail a drug test. WWE officials weren't happy with how things went down for the Great American Bash PPV back in July, and with the results for drug tests for RAW talent just now coming in, they didn't want to risk messing up their plans for the Unforgiven PPV.

No actually they aren't. Most of them, have real bodies, and if they take steroids, they'll be suspended without pay.

None of it is real......
Actually, it may be fixed, but the hurt they get is real (mostly) If they were to be put through a table, your telling me that isn't real and it wouldn't hurt?

they dont get hurt its all designed not to hurt the tables are made so they snap on the slightest hit and the ring in on springs it it cushions they wrestlers fall and also they learn how to hit people with chairs so it dosnt hurt

This is pretty old news. This is the reason for Orton's 60 day complete suspension and his recent house show suspension. He smoked cannabis backstage and was caught by a road agent.

The chairs usually dont hurt but the tables sometimes do. But if you get a stiff chairshot to the head, it does hurt..

Oh right, so your saying that for example when Edge speared Foley through a burning table of real fire "it didn't hurt" right?

And yes, FYI I am a WWE Fan.

The tables that you see in professional wrestling are not 'designed so that they'll break with a tiny bit of force'. If that was the case then such a table could not support a 300, 400 or even 500 pound man. Tables are generic office and banquet tables. You can buy exactly what you see on TV from most office shops.

99% of all chair shots hurt a lot. Chairs are made out of lightweight steel. Lightweight - yes - but still STEEL.

...Oh, and if you're like 'Oh yeah, they hurt so much that they use fake blood' then understand that all the blood that you see is legitimate. In other words, it's completely real. Small blades are concealed in wrestler's attire. They 'blade' themselves in the forehead where there is no major tissue. They can cause a lot of blood without any damage.
