this forum is multi-purpose, it has all topics not just one (in your case you want football). People can discuss more than one thing on this forum ;).

Although I have seen lots of football vbulletin forums doing well, it would be quite hard. Maybe make a multi-purpose one yourself.

Forums sticking to one topic never seem to work. I mean look at the top vBulletin forum (Last time i looked on bigboards). Offtopic.com (http://forums.offtopic.com for those who are confused by the front page) wonder why it's so popular? :p
