In Fireworks 8, use the "Slice Tool". Just slice up your Layout, maybe add all the individual slices to a new folder by "Exporting" them.

That's how to slice, but I'm wanting to know how to code myself.

Tip - Do not use Fireworks to slice it :)

I used Photoshop to slice a layout I did. It saves all the sliced images into a images folder and also gives you a html page with it all coded.

You still have to add tables to the bgs, text etc. Ps and dreamweaver does it for you basically.
