Yes i know it seems silly but habbo help desks these days are getting more and more bias towards a certain fansite or group. The whole idea of this seems very silly but once you dig deeper it all becomes so clear, i want into a few help desks and here are my results! All help desks featured will be rated on a bias scale - 10 = Completely bias where as 1 = Not bias at all.
(All help desks at 5 or under are quite easygoing)
Think/Pink Help:
Well i can guess what fansite this is a bit more nice towards. www.impetuous.net ! Obviously, the help desk is owned by impetuous so many of the users of the site use the help desk, and vice versa. This help desk is co owned by cheezy2 - who certainly has a dislike to habbox. This dislike is passed down to all of the users of the help desk so most people who go there dont like habbox either. I struck up a conversation with one of the helpers at Think Help about fansites (the person will obviously remain confidential).
Here is a short bit i took out of the conversation:
Bennit (me): I think all the fansites are great.
Staff: Yes, most of them.
Bennit: But i must admit my favourite is habbox.
Staff: Pfft habbox, a load of old trollop if you ask me.
I think that all of this rivalry started when rumours started to fly and people started arguing, but it wasn't all "impetuous fan's" fault, but i am not saying my words law! I give it 8/10 on the bias scale.
[HxHD] Habbox Help Desk:
Well, what can i say. These people aren't to keen on impetuous.net but they aren't ranting and raving about it all the time. I think in this help desk everyone is treated equally whether you like habbox or not. If you did happen to shout out "Habbox is rubbish" or other things i am sure that you would get a few people telling you that its not and trying to prove their oint but i suppose who wouldn't? Again the rivaly between habbox and impetuous.net rooted from a long time ago (even before the fake news about a trojan was reported) but you win some you lose some! Habbox help desk is a bit of an all rounder. I give it a 5/10 on the bias scale, just about getting in the un bias barrier.
[HiH] Habbari Help
This ones a toughie. There are points which make this help desk bias and un bias. The fact that it hires all habbari staff is a bit bias, but respectable as its habbari help. The fact that you can talk freely here is on the other hand very good. In habbari help desk its very good considering its specific to one site, you can speak about other fansites without being austrasized and even when you dont even visit habbari the person behind the desk they are always willing to have a chat. On the bias scale it come in at a low 3/10 ! Well done!
[HPD] Habbo Police Dept
This help desk used to score a 1/10 on the bias scale which is better than excellent! It used to be a great all rounder and not related to any site.Since Zeuz (co owner of habbari i may add) came along it hasn't gone down hill but its level of bias hiring/talking has. I can guarentee 50% or more of the staff at HPD work fr habbari or [HiH], for the reason they know zeuz or zeuz has put in a good word to the recruitment staff for them. I am not criticizing though, at the point of writing this article i am on trial there. But related to the bias scale i will put them on 4/10 because you can still have a friendly banter with the staff despite your alignment with any fansite.
I hope everyone who reads this article realises that how bias the staff and owners are does not effect the help given, most of it is top notch! This article was written to show that some people are very strict when it comes to visitng fansites. I would love to know your feelings on this issue and opinions. I hope you enjoyed reading!
