Hitting MEN: Right or Wrong?

Well, there is a thread on men hitting their partners/girlfriends, so I thought... why not?
Do you think it is okay for women to hit their husbands/boyfriends/partners, if so why? Do you think it is wrong? Explain why again. Keep it clean, cos I will infractionize you otherwise, and vote in the poll ;o!

Some women can be very strong, you are undermining and generalising them there.

But not as in abuse. Theres this movie coming out about it too.
Many women slap men for cheating etc. Its a gender thing women are seen as venerable but it can be reversed

Sometimes the men are vulnrable to their beastly wives. So its wrong. We can't always assume men are the 'toughest', 'hardest','strongist'

I don't believe it's 'right' to hit either sexes.

It's often thought that there's only 'wife beaters' out there, and it's always the man doing the hitting and abuse, but if you actually looked into it, you'd see there's a big percentage of woman who physically and mentally abuse their husbands.

I believe there is sometimes circumstances in which it is ok to hit people - ie. sel f defence. Say a woman/man was being beat up by their partner - why should they have to just sit there and take it?

I'd just like to say that there is a large number of women who mentally abuse their husband through blackmail, manipulation etc.
But as for physical abuse it would be 5-10% at the most.

If a woman is getting abused by her husband she has the right to hit him back also

I actually think that women hitting men (in a relationship) is worse than the other way around, because not only is there the possibility of the man being weaker than his partner, but we're actually not allowed to do anything about it. If a man hits his wife/girlfriend in reaction to her hitting him, he always comes off as worse despite not having started it.

It's wrong to hit either genders. People sometimes think it's right to hit men because they're seen as tough and strong, whereas people think it's wrong to hit women because they seem "weaker" than men, physically.

it depends really. If the guy is being a jerk or something then yeah, maybe he does deserve a good slap. But not unfairly, of course. I can't think of very many guys who would slap a GIRL because they were being a jerk. So yeah, it depends..

Maybye a girl deserves a good slap.... but we dont go hitting them , So dont use that as a lame excuse. It is really unfair .. I get hit at school sometimes by girls at school.. Because they think I am been a jerk or what ever... you know arguments happen .. but its no right I dont go hitting them

All depends on what the reason is. If it is in self defense or other reasons which has violence in it, then proberly. Same with females aswell.
