Wow, a whole discussion about scams... Anyone who is scammed is an idiot, and does not believe in common sense. I don't see why people discuss them? They are basically making themselves look even more stupid "/ If you don't want to be scammed, stop being gullible, and trying to stop people being gullible is one of the most hardest things to do. It is like trying to stop someone from being happy.

Although being scammed doesn't mean you are clever, I find scammers worse. They probably have no life in real life. Or have a strangely sick mind...

Scammers are newbs. "say ur pass and it coms up as ******!!!11!!!11!" that's so old now. And I doubt anyone will fall for it...

Do define the meaning of newb and realise that what you said makes no sense "/

I wish I knew why people fall for them...

newb/n00b/noob is a newbie isn't it? So scammers are newbies... sorta doesn't work.

It depends on the scam, if its a stupid scam like the password one, then yes I'll agree they must be thick. But if it's a scam where you buy something from ebay lets say and the person runs off with the money/item, then it doesn't mean you're stupid.

And, umm, interesting safety thing :p

I don't think so. You are still stupid for actually selling/buying stuff on ebay and not bothering about the consequences. Why bother selling furniture? It has no value in real life currency. People selling it and buyers are pretty dumb. If you are scammed, it is truely your fault. You should think about who you are dealing with and accept these errors.

Me neither. They tell stupid people how to do simple tasks and how to have common sense.

I'm not here to tell Sulake how to run their Hotels, but IMHO, I would have merged the Habbo and Safety X teams from the start. It would have been far less confusing, and more efficient.

Still, as long as people are still being scammed in these overly common ways, Habbo feels obliged to continue to educate people about these common scams. The problem, though, is that they can't grab their target audience - the people who would fall victim to the scams. Instead, at least half of the room would fill up with people who know the topic inside out and back-to-front. I feel these Safety Sessions would work, but only if the correct audience was addressed, which is very hard to do. At the moment, it is only working at half efficiency, a 50/50 split (which is better than nothing, I guess).

Why do you think I'm talking about selling Habbo furni? I am talking about buying/selling on ebay in general, like selling a gameboy. Not ****** Habbo pixels.

And somebody with super feedback may scam, they may have used another account to gain feedback, you just have to take a risk.

If thats the case your posting way off topic.. ;) We're talking about a Safety X session about Habbo Safety, not Ebay Safety. I am sure there are forums that deal with that. :P

Habbo scams are newbish things to do, because we all know whats a scam and whats not these days, and when one is successful, 2 months later its old hat!

I think the Safety X's should either gooooo or merge. :)

Seeing as team leaders (And bigbutsound) have the same tools as hobba's... I agree with this also. lol.

It'd save all this FOMO rubbish aiding to destroying Sulakes reputation.

Heh, "team leaders (and bigbutsound)". Now Sulake face a problem, scrap the Habbo X program and move onto a more safer way of a Hobba program? Or just leave it as it is and lose all their dignity as a business?
Hard choice dont you think?
Just bring back Hobbas! And not underage ones! xD

Nooo.... Hobbas were there to stop people breaking the Habbo Way (Like Mods). Habbo X are there to Help new Habbos even though team leaders have some of Hobbas powers they don't have ban or anything like that. The worst thing they can do is Kick and alert.

Pyroka
21-09-2006, 06:57 PM
Meh, that could cause chaos nontheless, in the wrong hands. Alert and Kick are powerful tools... They can cause alot of problems. Meh, just bring back Hobbas, keep Habbo X's. Sorted.

You have a point i did like Hobbas but they are team leaders because they are trusted. They are bad tools and could be abused easily but they will probably be fired if they are abused.

GommeInc

Hobbas would just cause another problem again if they are returned. One reason Hobbas left was House Keeping and safety if a Hobba account was used by another. If they bring back Hobbas, they bring back the taking over problems which this thread is about. If they give them House Keeping again, then Moderators would be pointless and Hobbas, who are given House Keeping will need certificates and whatever to make sure no one other than the PC the Hobba uses gets into it. If they don't, then the Hobba program is a failure again.

Habbo eXperts and Moderators are enough. But Habbo refuse to do the smart thing and get rid of this stupid FOMO campaign, which causes more problems than it will solve. If they did the right thing, the Hotel will be safe and will work more like clock work than it ever did.
