Ok, so I have a domain with 1and1.co.uk . I also have hosting with cPanel X. I have the domain pointing at my name servers (ns1.vbasic.us, ns2.vbasic.us) and I don't know what to do next. Help please?

is the CpanelX under the user name of your domain (When you login it should have: Welcome (DOMAIN HERE))

No, it's got the sub-domain provided by my host.

Then you could either forward it to the sub-domain or ask them to change the settings.

Forwarding it using the host's nameservers gives a 404, and using the 1and1 name servers makes my sub-directories not appear. (If I go to my site, then click forums from there, it still gives me my root domain in the address bar)

Yeah I know, because one and one is like forwarding.
It's a problem with your hosts DNS Server. =]

or put it as an addon domain
An addon domain seems like a domain within my subdomain. I tried parking the domain, and got this error:
Sorry, cannot determine nameserver IPs. Please make sure that the domain is registered with a valid domain registrar.

That won't work, because then I will have a sub-domain in my sub-domain, with a proper domain pointing to it. (Did that make any sense?)
