View Full Version : Anyone else hate this?

Anyone else ever find a really cool shirt or something and then get really dissapointed to find that it has the brand name written in huge letters somewhere on it? I HATE being a walking advertizement. Ever found it odd that the most expensive clothes always have their brand name all over it? Shouldnt they be cheaper if youre going to advertize for them?

Anyway, I like the clothes at this store Old Navy, but they ruin everything by putting this:

It makes me so mad. Half my clothes Ive gotten online.

Yeah, i agree - some brand names are just stupid. and you'd rather not be walking round with a logo that entitles you to be bullied..

What makes me mad is that some people buy it BECAUSE of the brand name. In the U.S., you arent fashionable if you dont have Hollister written on your butt. I dont care what people want to wear, but what makes me mad is that for the companies, it works.

I like it, if you dont like it, just dont buy it simple, also, nike only has a tiny tick on the majority of their clothes.

I dont mind a tiny tick. I dont care about that, Im talking about brand names in HUGE letters all over it.

And I dont like it, thus I dont buy it. I just get mad whenever I find a really good shirt that I would like if it didnt have a huge brand-name advertizement on the front. It makes it hard to find good clothes to be honest.

Obviously. They dont put LOLZ on it either, but that is about how big they make it.

I don't mind it, as long as it's worked into an intricate design. Like some Adio T-Shirts I've seen have 'Adio' on them, but there's also quite a big graphics [for lack of a better word] on the front, and the Adio sign fits in nicely.

I really hate stuff like you've said..

The only type of top i'll wear with writing on it is a band t-shirt really.

Over here its all the surf brands like Roxy, Billabong etc.
And its scrawled over everything. Normally I just go into places that are just normal clothes. Fashion Fair, Supre etc.

You have the best ideas for shirts. First you said about "I Like Bread" in the band t-shirts thread, and now "OLD NAVY LOLZ". You should go into design, seriously.
On topic, I also dislike having names printed on my stuff, pictures too (unless it's a really good one). I buy my clothes from TopMan or off the market, as they're just blank generally.

Haha, well the "I Like Bread" thing was just a comment on Red Hot Chili Peppers shirts. RHCP is probably my favorite band, but I dont have a t-shirt of them, but I do of other bands. I just dont because at my school, everyone likes RHCP, and many people have a t-shirt of them. So getting a RHCP t-shirt to me would be like getting a shirt that says "I Like Bread". Its like... who doesnt?

I really don't mind the logo on the shirts, but I do agree that the logo does make the product that much more expensive, but some people are willing to pay for it.

yeh, theres this small clothing company on my myspace- and they had their name splashed on the back of their new hoody, i told them to remove it cos it looked tacky.

I can't see the picture for some reason? ;s But yeah, I agree. - Although one or two of my tops have the brand names logo on the front, sometimes it does look a bit stupid and ott.

it depends really, i dont buy things just because they are branded or anything, it depends on whether i like it. anyway if the brand name is written in huge letters, i think it looks cheap. like i was annoyed when i saw this jacket i wanted but it was by the *****cat dolls, so it had PCD written in big letters at the front, so i wont buy it. i do like them though, but not enough to wear a jacket saying pcd on ...

I went to buy a shirt for work and it had this stupid pink brand name logo on it so I didn't bother.

I'm sorry but hahaha! :D Aww..

But anyway, yeah I do hate it when companies do that. If you buy stuff for the brand its fine, but I dont at all so its really annoying when its printed everywhere. Turns me right off them.

I guess it kind of annoys me. But I don't wear brands because I like to be different, and I don't like people knowing where I get my clothes.

Hooch and bench?

2 brands over in good old england:D

I don't mind brands that much. I wear things that say 'Drop Dead' (name the the company) but that doesn't bother me.

Hooch and bench?

tacky clothes companies, bench plaster their name on half of the piece of clothing.

i don't mind about brand names being on clothing, as long as the writing isn't too big.

I Think Lacoste Is One Of The Worst Offenders
In Scotland You Regularly See People Being Called A 'Poof' For Not Wearing
A Ott, Brightly Coloured Tangoed Tracksuit With A Flamin Croc On It

It Really Annoys Me That People Think I'm An Idiot For Wearing Pink Shirts & There The Ones That Payed £120+ For A Brightly Coloured Peice Of Upgraded Bin Bag :(

Looks like it's just been added on in paint. :P
That's how bad it is, unless it really is added on in paint?!
Anyway, I don't mind the shirt, but brand logo's are basically a sign saying 'please rip my shirt in public'.

I have some t shirts that i've worn and i don't even know what the writing says, lmao. I don't always look, maybe i should check more carefully though, one time i got this t shirt which said "PUMP IT UP" on the back, and i had to return it, lmao, that was like 2 years ago though.

I hateeeeeeeeeeee it.
I don't mind when it's written in one place in small writing or something, but i hate when it's really noticable.
