Do you think one day some mad person will invent time travel ? Inventing time travel will cause many problems if someone invented a time machine to stop something from happening this would be impossible because if they stopped that thing from happening they wouldn't have built the time machine therefore wouldn't have been able to go back and stop it from happening !
so do you think time travel will one day be possible and if it is will it be safe?

If a time machine were to be invented, wouldnt we have seen someone from the future already?

Lol oOoOo good point unless theres time laws which say your not aloud to tell people where they are from because it might cause a paradox?
Technically it is possible to time travel forward in time. It's just going back that's the problem. :p

Actually, people have claimed it...

Not that any of it's true, but it has been claimed. John Titor is especially famous for it.

yer that they know how to go forward just hard to or something but from the way they go forward it is almost or is impossible to reverse it ^^

Depends how you understand time as working, For exsample if we take time a simply a direction, time travel is usless, becuse if we go back in time to a differnet point, there will be nothing inhabiting that point in time, which means although you can move threw time, you can not actualy change the current time stream "/ Then again it could quite easly be very diffent, from all possiblys occuring in to billions of new dimentions all the time, to a simple single loop, such as in moves like terminator "/

Did you know if you put your head down on a table and count to 1000, and look up at the clock, there's a new time!?

Why not? You traveled through time?

If time travel was possible, you would have to be extremely careful becuase even the smallest thing can change something alot.

Nope, time just carried you along. Travelling independantly of normal time is time travel.

thanks that was really interesting (sp?) + rep
The way to travel forward in time is to move VERY fast. Astronaughts who have been in space for several months (probably travelling at around 20,000MPH), have moved forward in time by around 3 seconds. We know this, because they are sent up with some of the most assurate time keeping devices, which can be accurate to one tenth of a nanosecond per day. Over the months, these clocks could only have become out of sync by a few hundred nanoseconds. That means, that when they are 3 seconds behind, then they must have travelled forward in time by a few seconds.
The rate at which time is travelled forward through, can be increased by travelling at greater speeds. Black holes are thought to be related to timetravell because they have such a large amount of gravity they attract objects towards them faster than the speed of light.

I cannot see how this is possible to be honest, so I don't think there will be..

Once people couldn't see how the earth being round was possible :) things may not seem possible now but one day in the future could be or maybe I'm just a major Doctor who fan and want to build my own Tardis ? a guy can dream right? :D
